Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a quick look at the blank square trailer hitch cover. Now this is just going to be an easy way to protect your hitch receiver tube from getting a buildup of rust and dirt. A lot of times whenever you leave that hitch exposed to the elements, it can kind of rest out and make it difficult to get in your other accessories; things like your ball mount, bike rack, cargo carrier, et cetera. So by having a hitch cover in there, it's going to help to prevent that buildup.It is made out of a stainless steel so we shouldn't have to worry about this causing any rust itself. Just minimalist look for it. Or if you feel so inclined you can always kind of etch in a design of your own, maybe acid etch that in there or whatever you want to use to do that if you're up to the task or if you feel like it, don't have to though. But you do have that option.The shank is also made out of a stainless steel. The hitch pin and clip are not included with this so you will have to provide that on your own, just takes a five eighths hitch pin or hitch lock. As far as the overall size, the shank is going to be about three and a half inches long. Our hitch pin holes will have three different placements for those so you can adjust it to whatever length that you would like. From the surface of our front plate to the center of each hole, it's going to be about an inch and five eighths to that first one. The middle one is going to be about two and an eighth inch and then the third is about two and three quarters. The front face measures about four inches across or four and a quarter inch across by four and a quarter inch tall and overall it's about three and three quarter inches long.
