Specs:
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the connector, run the red hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the four way flat trailer connector. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2018 Toyota C-HR, and on a custom fit part, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now this harness will provide this four way flat trailer connector to the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. This is compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters that we do sell separately on our website. This does connect very quickly and easily. Basically, you just locate your connection points, which are usually behind the tail lights on the vehicle, plug in these T-connectors, one on each side, ground your white wire, and then you just run this power wire to your vehicle's battery. It does include this module light, and this is to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer. It is a power module, which connects directly to your vehicle's battery to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system.
The wire right here is a bonded 16 gauge wire that the four ways attach to. That'll run out the back to connect to your trailer, and if you notice, on the four way it has this integrated dust cap, so when you're not plugged in to your trailer, if you just put that dust cap on your four way just like that, that'll protect those terminals from any damage or from the elements. Now the few specs on this. The maximum amperage on the stop and turn light circuits is 5 amps per circuit, and on the tail light circuit is 7.5 amps. This part includes everything shown here on the table. It even has a nice set of detailed instructions that'll even show pictures of how to install everything. But just briefly, how to install this, what you want to do, again, is to go to the rear of the vehicle, gain access behind the tail lights, and you want to start on the driver's side.
You'll take this T-connector here that has the yellow wire in it. That's for the driver's side. Unplug your harness, and then plug this in between the harness and the tail lights. Then you'll go to the passenger side and take this other T-connector with the green wire in it. This'll run over to the passenger side.
Unplug the harness, plug this in just like that. Once those are plugged in, your module light box here, you do want to attach that to a surface so it doesn't bounce around. They do give you a piece of double-faced tape you can use, and they even have a mounting bracket here with a hole in it, which you can attach with a screw if you want to.Then run this length of bonded wire out the back to your trailer, and then the last thing remaining are your two loose wires. Again, the white wire has an eyelet on it, so that you'll connect to a good clean ground if there's one nearby. If not, they include this grounding screw, which you can make your own ground.
Then the power wire would need to run to your vehicle's battery, so it has to run to the front of the vehicle. They give you this length of wire to do that and the connectors, so you take one of the butt connectors, put it on your power wire, connect it to one end of this length of wire, and then run this all the way to the front. Now when you get to the front, you don't want to connect this wire directly to the battery, you want to run it through this inline fuse holder. So take your other butt connector, put it on there, connect it to one side of the fuse holder, just like that. Then on the other side, you'll take your included eyelet connector, put it on there, and then this'll connect to the battery. Once it's all connected, pop it open. They give you an included 15 amp fuse. Just insert that into the fuse holder. Put your cap back on there. Now your system's all ready to go. If you notice, they do give you quite a few of the cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring. But that should do it for the review on the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the four way flat trailer connector.
