The wiring harness I ordered did not plug into any receptacle on my van. I had to order a different type that plugs inline on both tail lights. Another $50.

Originally I thought I needed a more difficult to install wiring harness, but after speaking to the customer service rep I found a cheaper and easier harness. It installed quickly and easily. I believe there was also a You Tube video that was helpful
so I always like to check those out before I start a project.

2002 GMC Savana-Van

This harness was exactly what I expected. The instructions were very good. Maybe took 15 minutes to install. Only shortcoming is that the length looks a little short. Don't know if that will be a problem, but for the price I thought was worth a try.

Extremely easy to install. Instructions easy to follow. only drawback was that the wiring could have been just a little bit longer. Other than that it is working out great!

  • Selecting Factory-Style or Aftermarket-Style Trailer Wiring Harness for 2002 Chevy Express Van
You can check behind the Express van's passenger side trim panel in the rear cargo area to see if it has connection points for factory replacement wiring. Factory 4-pole items # 118240 and # C55240 both use the same type of square connector, shown in the linked image. If you find this type of connector then you have probably have the tow package; if so, you may need to install a fuse or relay to activate it. If you do not have this factory wiring connection point then instead you can use...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Brake Lights on Vehicle Side Harness on 2001 Chevy Express Van
It sounds like there is an issue with the vehicle side wiring. Since you know there isn't a bad fuse, I recommend checking the wiring itself for a short using a circuit tester like # PTW2992 to determine the point where power stops flowing in your wiring. I also recommend checking the ground connection of the wiring harness like # 118240 as a bad ground that isn't bare metal to metal can have one function that doesn't work fairly easily. If you don't have factory wiring, I recommend...

When installing a trailer wiring harness on your 2017 Chevrolet City Express The 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket, Chrysler/Dodge OEM Plug Adapter # HM40975-11933 is not confirmed to fit your vehicle. The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118597 is confirmed to fit your 2017 Chevrolet City Express. To get the 7 way and 4 flat option together you will also need The Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way...

  • Trailer Hitch and Ball Mount for 2009 Honda Civic for Towing PWC Trailer
The Curt hitch part # C11391 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2009 Honda Civic and since your trailer needs a 2 inch ball what you'd need is the ball mount # C45521 with the hitch ball # A-82 and you'd be set. For trailer wiring you'd then need the part # 118240 too and then you'd be set.

  • 2002 GMC Savana 2500 Wiring
The wiring harness needed will depend on whether or not your Savana was equipped with the factory tow package. If you have the tow package, with the connector in the jack storage compartment, you'll need the part 118240, if not, you'll need part number 118377. Links to both of these parts are included below.

  • Trailer Wiring Recommendations for a 2001 GMC Savana Van
You will want to go with the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 118377 as it is designed to work on vehicles that do not have trailer wiring. The Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness # 118240 that you referenced is designed as a replacement harness for vehicles for that have a factory wiring harness. I attached an installation video for the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 118377 that you referenced. Once installed if you need a 7-way trailer connector I would recommend...

  • What Parts Are Needed To Install Tekonsha 9030 Brake Controller, # 39510, On 2000 Chevy Express Van
It looks like you have all the parts listed you will need to put a 7-way trailer connector and install a brake controller on your 2000 Chevy Express Van. There is one more part you could use and that would be the Draw-Tite Plug-In Harness, # 20127. This is a 12 inch long harness that will plug into the plug on the Tekonsha brake controller and give you the 4 pigtail wires that will be hardwired to your vehicle. Using this harness will allow you to plug and unplug your brake controller...

  • Recommended Trailer Wiring for 2001 GMC Savana
For your 2001 GMC Savana Van without any trailer connector, you will need a few things to get your complete setup for towing a trailer with electric brakes. For your trailer wiring you will start with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118377 which connects to your factory wiring at two points in the rear cargo area. Then use the # ETBC7 kit to give you the 7-way along with the 12v and brake output wiring. I've attached a video and article to assist....

  • 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness For 1999 Chevy Express Van
We do have a 4-way that fits your 1999 Chevy Express van, but the # 118377 is not a fit. Instead, the correct one will depend on if you need to replace your factory 4-way or if your van did not have a 4-way at all and you want to install one: - Replace Factory 4-Way: Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness # 118240 - Install 4-Way: T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55335

  • Where Does the Trailer Wiring Harness Install on a 1996 GMC Savana Van
You are correct. The Curt wiring harness, # C55335, plugs in line with the tail light wiring and you will not have to splice into the wires at all. I have included a link to the installation details for you to view. Models that originally came with a 4-Way from the factory but need a replacement would use a different harness, # 118240. I have included a link to a video that shows how this harness installs.

  • Fitment of Draw-Tite Hitch on 2002 GMC Savana Van
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75189 should fit your 2002 GMC Savana Van just fine, unless the bumper has been lowered by someone before. All of the hitches that we carry for your van fit the same way. You may have to do a bit of trimming or remove the bumper and mount it in the original factory location. If you need a trailer wiring kit, I recommend # 118377 or # 118240. You will also need # ETBC7 if you want to haul a trailer with 7 pole wiring on it.

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75189 is confirmed to fit your 1997 Chevrolet Express Van. Since it sounds like you don't have the factory tow package you will want to go with the Curt T-Connector # C55335 for wiring. If your Van happened to have the factory tow package then you will use part # 118240 instead. If you just need the 4-Pole connector then I recommend also installing the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144 along with the No-Drill Bracket # C57202 for a quick...

  • Recommended 4-way T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness and 7-way for 2000 Chevrolet Express Van
If your 2000 Chevy Express Van has the tow package then the 4-way wiring harness you will want is the # 118240. If you do not have the tow package then the # 118377 would be the correct 4-way wiring harness for you to get. To adapt these 4-ways to a 7-way plug, you will want the # ETBC7. If you don't already have a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha P3 # 90195, because of its easy user interface. The P3 is a proportional brake controller which means it senses how the tow vehicle...
