Snowplow Installation
Front or rear mount? Versatility is the SnowSport LT's middle name.
Installation is quick and simple - just slide the included shank assembly into your 2" hitch receiver and secure with pin.
Once the plow frame is connected, attach the blade by lifting one end at a time onto the frame's holders. The lightweight aluminum blade construction makes lifting or adjusting an easy, one-person job. Secure the blade in either the transport or plowing position with the plow's snap pins. The low-profile design won't block your headlights, and the transport position is secure enough for highway travel.
If using with a rear-mount receiver, simply lower the blade to plow position and back up as usual. For a front-mounted plow blade, just drive forward with the blade in the plow position. The unique design takes the hassle out of plowing: This device has no hydraulics or complicated wiring. The push frame on the shank assembly allows the blade to move along the grade of the terrain for easier, more efficient plowing. The heavy-duty rubber cutting edge is effective yet turf friendly, collecting snow and squeegeeing slush without digging into the ground.
When you are ready to reverse your driving direction, the blade lies back, skimming over the surface of the ground until you change direction again to plow.
Handy blade markers extend vertically from the ends of the plow to help you see where you are plowing.
With the SnowSport LT, plowing snow is as easy as backing out of your driveway. Once you are finished plowing, simply lift the blade, refasten it in the transport position and head off for work or errands.

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2018 RAM 2500, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Curt, front mount trailer hitch receiver. Before we get into that though, let's just take a minute check this out and make sure it's gonna work for you. Putting a front hitch on your truck, is really gonna open up the opportunities, on what you're gonna be able to do with your RAM. And quite frankly, kind of surprised, more people don't actually equip their truck, with a front hitch 'cause makes it a lot more versatile. So just a couple of examples.
You know, if you're trying to use a snow plow, this will work for that, a winch setup, it'll work for that. You know, if you happen to, you know, want to try to move some trailers around, in tight spots around the house or something, you can always push those around. But seems like what's getting more and more popular now, with a lot of people, you know, getting campers and going over the road, towing their camper behind there and you know you got the family with you and you want to load up some bikes up here or put a carrier up here with, you know, some additional equipment or gear, you know, whatever the case may be, you can use it for that type of thing as well. And even as a work vehicle, you know, if you you can get an extender up here that runs up, if you have a a roof rack or a ladder rack, you know, you can use that extender to you know, have long pieces of wood or tubing or anything like that come over, towards the front of your truck and it all be supported. So you can really think outside of the box, on the different type of things, that you're gonna be able to do, with a setup like this.
With this particular hitch as well. I think it's gonna look really good. I don't think it can get much better to be honest with you. You know, it sits up tight, it's not gonna take away any of your ground clearance and you know you really can't even notice it's there, unless you're kind of right up on it. Blends in, it almost looks factory, you know, it kind of follows a path there, along the edge of your plastic bumper and gives you that opening that you need, to use those different types of accessories.
That opening is gonna be two inches by two inches, really common size. So a lot of different stuff's gonna work with it. It's going to have the standard five eights pinhole and that's the size coming clip that you're gonna need. One doesn't come with the hitch but not really a big deal. If you need one, you can always get it right here at etrailer.
As far as the hitch's weight capacity goes, it's gonna have a 500 pound, maximum gross tongue weight rating. That's gonna be the amount of weight, pushing down on the hitch. It's gonna have a 5,000 pound maximum gross, trailer weight rating. So the amount of weight pulling on the hitch, that would be later for trailer plus anything that's on it and then it's gonna have a 9,000 pound vertical line pull and that's applicable if you're using a winch, that's gonna be the amount of weight or force I guess you could say, being applied to the front hitch. But with all that in mind, I do always like to suggest never a bad idea, just to grab your truck's owner's manual. That way you can check in there and make sure it can handle that much weight safely. Now I'll give you a couple of measurements and you can use these to help figure out, what type of accessories will work best. From the ground, so the top inside edge, of their receiver tube opening, that's gonna be about 15 inches. You can use that to figure out, all different types of things, you know whether you have enough ground clearance or if your winch or snow plow or whatever it is that you're using is gonna work. From the center of the hitch pin hole, to the edge of the front bumper, that's gonna be about nine inches. And again you can use that to figure out your clearance. You know, all this you're folding accessory, gonna be able to be stored upright and not have to worry about it, hitting in front of your truck. This hitch is gonna work with the two-wheel drive, as well as four-wheel drive models. We happen to have a four-wheel drive one here today and this one's also a diesel truck, so it'll work with diesels and gasoline trucks. So more or less, regardless to what you got, you'll be in pretty good shape there. Compared to some of the other hitches available. You know this one will work, for a lot of different things like we talked about, but I feel like you know what you're trying to accomplish, is gonna kind of dictate what hitch might be best for you. The other ones actually set up here, in this void here in our bumper. So a little bit higher up, you know, for those of you maybe using a winch or something like that, that might be a better solution. But it's really just gonna depend on, what you're trying to do, you know, what one you like the best. There is an eco hitch available as well, that has that sits up here that, has a little bit higher capacity. So if you kind of plan on maxing it out or kind of you know pushing it to limit, that might be the one to think about. But other than that, it's the end of the day. It's a great tool to have on the front of your truck. Looks good when you're not using it and is there to use, when you are ready to to do something with it. As far as the installation goes, it's everything's just kind of tight and a little tricky to get to in some cases. It's not complicated, just a little time consuming, so I'll be patient there but, as long as you take your time, you should be in pretty good shape. With that said though, why don't we go ahead and get started on it now. So you begin our installation, we're gonna be here at the front of the truck and what we need to do first, is cut out a small opening here on this bottom lip, on the plastic portion of our bumper, that way our hitch, our receiver tube, will be able to pass through. I went ahead and just kind of mark that out. There's a diagram and instructions tells you where to cut and so being somewhat thick plastic, I'm gonna use a multi tool, could use a Dremel tool or you know, a good pair of tin snips, something like that to get this cut out. (machine whirring) That out of the way if you want to, you can always come back with some sandpaper, utility knife and kind of get rid of all the rough edges. We're able to remove some of our factory hardware now, as hardware's gonna be behind our bumper. I just wanted to give you kind of a reference point, from the outside 'cause it is kind of tricky, to see behind here but there'll be two nuts, located kind of just in this area. So if you look just outside of your toe hook, be right in there. But with that said, we'll take a look underneath and check 'em out. So there's one of 'em and there's one identical to that, just a few inches above it. Pretty much impossible to see on camera, but it is there. Regardless so we're gonna have to get 'em removed. Just take the nuts off. So an 18 millimeter as the size, that you're gonna need to do that. And I want to mention from this point on, anything we do to one side of our truck, we're also gonna do to the other side, 'cause it'll be set up the same way. (ratcheting sounds) On the lower bolt, you can take this thick spacer block and you're gonna place that over it like that. And then the bolt up top, you can take factory nut and just get a couple of threads started on it, you know maybe run it down an eighth inch, something like that. And then you're gonna want to push, that hardware essentially flush. So about like that. Do that on each side, that way when we go to put our hitch up, it's not going to get hung up on the spacer block. And now with the help of Brad here, we can get our hitch raised into position. So there's parts set kind of these uprights here. Those are gonna line up with that hardware, that we pushed in flat, you know, on the bottom. And then when you get lined up, we can just push that bolt through and that hopefully it'll support it, once that's free you can take the new nut, that they give you and I'll put that on. So we go ahead and get this into position. (metal clanging sounds) So get 'em to pop through like that and that'll take our new nut and place it on the bottom side. With the hitch in place, if you look on the back side of the hitch, there's gonna be two oval shaped holes and those are gonna line up with some holes there and this piece that drops down and what you can do is take a fish wire and take the quail end of it and just run it through there and when you kind of push it somewhat up and forward and then we'll kind of come out, the other side there and what you can do is grab spacer block like this, slide that over and this type of carriage bolt, we'll thread that on and then you can feed that up. (metal clanging sounds) We're trying to pull it out. You might have to kind of, you know, push the hitch up or move it around to get it to actually pull through there. But once it does you can unthread the pull wire. And when you're doing this, be careful not to drop that back into the frame. So you can take a small flathead screwdriver and just apply some pressure to the bolt to keep it steady. That way you're able to grab the flange nut, get that started hand tight and I'm gonna use that same procedure and that same hardware to do this attachment point. With all the hardware in place and tight, we're gonna first tighten back up our factory bolts, there are at the very top, so you wanna push your bumper up, you know, to kind of swing it back up in it's original position, while you're holding it. (machine whirring) Snug that factory bolt down and then we'll use that same 18 millimeter, to snug this one up as well. (machine whirring) For the carriage bolts, you wanna go ahead and run them down using an 11 sixteenths. (machine whirring) And finally we can come back with a torque wrench and torque down all of the hardware, to the amount specified in our instructions. And that'll finish up our look at, and our installation of the Curt, Front Mount trailer hitch receiver on our 2018 RAM 2500.

Easily attach a variety of accessories to the front of your vehicle with this fully welded, corrosion-resistant trailer hitch receiver. Perfect for winches, spare tire carriers and more.I got the hitch and made a appointment to have it put on. That fell through so I decided to tackle it myself. It was extremely easy, my wife helped hold it in place while I got the bolts started. I use the hitch which I install in the front of my 2500 Ram to haul my ebikes on a bike rack. Works excellent.
Perfect for my application, very high quality. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was the packaging was not the greatest. Part of my hitch had ripped through the box and was pretty scuffed up. I really appreciated the installation video on your website, but I wish it was shown with a factory installed winch, which made the installation more difficult.
This hitch is fantastic, it was easy to install and with it I am now able to maneuver my 26 foot boat through the narrow opening of my fence and onto a concrete slab. The ordering process was fast and easy and the shipping to Hawaii was reasonable and got the hitch in just a few days. I also really appreciate the follow up asking if the item and install went ok. I will definitely order from etrailer for all my future trailering needs.
I was totally amazed at the quality and the fit to my truck this hitch went on so easy even though I have a brush guard on this truck also. This item went on in about 45 minutes and that was to unpack it and get out the tools start to finish.

Great I use it all the time in tight places, so much easier then backing in a trailer in small areas
Hitch arrived in three days, installed in an hour! Perfect fit on my 2017 Ram Tradesman 2500 HD. Will have to lengthen my bike rack tube due to design of rack. Thanks Sammy for calling Curt, then guaranteeing return shipping if no fit. You can hardly notice it's there!
Wasn't sure this part would fit on my 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon, because Curt hadn't "approved" it yet, but it went on very easy. They included longer bolts that were needed due to my built in winch and the feeder wires were a great help. I lost a little approach clearance, but it is worth it. etrailer was great during the order process.
This hitch is perfect. It's great quality and it bolted up easily. Took me just over 1 hour to install.
The hitch has done exactly what I had bought it for: to hold an adjustable, vertical T-bar at the front of my truck for supporting long cargo like canoes, extension ladders. As the need arises I'm sure it will work fine as a hitch for backing wagons into sheds, etc. But the need hasn't presented itself yet.
The only unusual trait I've seen is that the hitch doesn't set perfectly level, in the same plane with the truck. The mounting holes, both in the truck frame and the hitch, left no room for adjusting, but the hitch works as it is and I'm satisfied.
Pretty easy to install with the right tools. Not really noticable after it is installed. You do have to loosen the bumper, but you don't have to remove it. I bought it for a bicycle rack, works perfectly.
Good solid hitch. Took about an hour with help of my son. The drivers side on 2016 Ram Diesel was pretty easy but the passagers side was a bit challenging, because the two bolts that needed to be pushed in were being restricted on the other side but we got it done.
Ship time was super fast. Product is very heavy duty and the powder coat was perfect. All the hardware is included plus some cool wire to help fish a bolt through a tight spot. Directions were 95% useful and I also found a video by the manufacturer showing how to install it. Could not be more happy.
works grate useing for ebikes not to hard to put on looks grate
Installation was a little rough but now that its on, it is perfect! Some guys have posted that they installed it by themselves and much respect to them. I needed two guys, a floor jack, a bottle jack (to spread the ends apart an extra 1/8 inch), a pry bar, a hammer, and a bigger hammer. The most important tool of all though is the etrailer installation video. the written instructions are not good and they only make sense after watching the video.
First, the Etrailer experience was excellant! Easy to order, no shipping fees and fast delvery. Great job Etrailer.
Secondly, the hitch from Curt is a heavy duty and functional hitch.
Thirdly, the instructions provided by Curt are pictured backwards in the instruction sheets, and the professional mechanic took 1 1/2 hrs to install, and called Curt tech support( 1-800-798-0813 on 2-5-13, having to ask about the backwards pictures in the instructions and was told by the person from Curt--yep you are right, they are backwards!
Rating--Etrailer=excellant,
Curt rating = Good( because of the instructions issue and it costing me more for the install. Should have been a 1/2hr. install from a professional, as per the instructions, and it was not!
If the instructions were correct, maybe a 45 minute to 1 hour install.
Very sturdy, well made hitch. Easy to install and included all needed hardware. The instructions could be a bit more clear, the pictures miss some details. Such as the carriage bolt retainers need to be installed that the shorter ends back up to each other or else they will overlap and not allow the fasteners to be flush. Overall, I would purchase again and recommend this product.
Excellent product. was shipped timely and while easy to install either have a other person on hand or use a jack to hold this thing up. For my truck you have to angelic back and then up to align everything. Also you are unbolting the front bumper so there will be some wiggling etc. A second person def helps!
Fast delivery. Fits like a glove on my 2012 Ram 2500 4x4. Installed by myself, took about an hour and half using two jack stands. Hardest part was getting the hole centered in the air dam. Only concern was whether I could get the bumper back to factory location as mine dropped appox 1/4". Couldn't get it back but took measurements and it was still level. Looks great!!
I was a little surprised with the snow plow. I thought it was going to be hydraulic/electric. It does okay, going on flat and slight declines. Inclines not so good. I also. Bought a rear trailer hitch. Very pleased with it.
Quick delivery and great product! Holds both our EBikes securely as we travel the country!
I put this on a 2014 Ram 2500 Crew Cab. I use it in conjunction with the Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches (TH934XTR) to take our bikes along when pulling our camper. It works well and sits out far enough to clear the front bumper. I considered the Draw Tite (65063), but I'm glad I didn't go that way as the bikes would have sat much too high and would have blocked my field of view. The bikes do bounce some, which made me nervous initially, but the hitch and the bike rack have held up well after one year.
awesome hitch. very well made. went on the nose of my '12 power wagon.
We used the front hitch to handle an ebike rack. The hitch worked great, as we have been full-time RVing for the past 10 months and hauling the ebikes from Washington state to Key West. Would recommend the front hitch.
I installed the hitch on my 2018 fwd ram today. The fit and finish on it was beyond my expectations. The directions provided with the hitch were minimal but accurate. Etrailer provided a video of the installation that was very helpful to let me know what to expect. Curt did a great job engendering the hitch with every detail addressed down to the wires needed to pull the bolts through a blind hole and torque specs . The only minor disappointment was the hitch was not secured in the box for shipping. The packaging was first class as far as size and structural integrity but the contents were not secured, and beat its way though the box. I would always recommend Etrailer. Great customer service pricing and exceptional website!!!
Rock solid and a must for off road and camping.
I had some trouble with mounting ( I’m not very mechanically inclined ) but I did it and would recommend to any one. I got the hitch for under the bumper a must for not getting in the way of trans cooler. 2018 Ram 2500 Cummings turbo diesel
The hitch fit perfectly on my 2017 Ram Power wagon. The longer bolts included were definitely needed for the factory installed winch. I gave it 4 stars only because of the packaging not the hitch. This is the 2nd hitch I've ordered for a 2nd truck. The first one arrived a little bent and both arrived with torn boxes, dents, and scratched paint. The packaging needs to be upgraded to handle the weight. Also, one of the first items on the instructions is to remove the nuts that secure the bumper bolts, the top ones will be reinstalled...... I didn't loosen or remove these and everything assembled just fine.

It’s working as intended. I did install a extension tube so the bike rack could fold up.
