84 x 18 Heavy-duty plow with thick rubber cutting edge self-adjusts up and down to smoothly clear a path over concrete, gravel, and grass. Side scoops catch more snow with each push. Aluminum blade can be manually angled to either side.

Installation is quick and simple - just slide included shank assembly into your 2" receiver and secure with pin.
Then lift the blade, one end at a time, onto the frame's holders and fasten with snap pins.
The SnowSport HD blade is mounted on an angled, 3-position shank assembly, allowing you to plow to the left, to the right or straight ahead.
To plow, lower the blade and begin driving; no wiring or hydraulics are needed. The unique push frame on the shank assembly allows the blade to move along the grade of the terrain for easier, more efficient plowing. The heavy-duty rubber cutting edge is effective yet turf friendly, collecting snow and squeegeeing slush without digging into the ground.
When you reverse direction, the blade lies back, skimming over the surface of the ground so that you can easily take another pass.
Once you're finished plowing, just lift the blade and refasten into the travel position. The blade is secure enough to travel at highway speeds, and the low-profile design keeps it from blocking your vehicle's headlights. Removal for storage is quick and easy. The plow can be used on the rear of your vehicle, making it a cinch to back out of your snow-packed driveway.

Today on our 2011 GMC Sierra we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Curt Custom Fit Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver with the 2" by 2" opening. Part number is 31322. Here's a good look at our hitch once we get it installed, as you can see you're not losing really anything here. Our ground clearance is going to remain just about the same, the hitch is going to remain just about completely hidden up here behind our bumper. Great thing about the install process, it uses all the factory mounting locations so we don't have to drill any holes, you don't have to make any modifications to our truck. It's going to leave us with our 2" by 2" receiver tube opening. These are going to work out really, really well for front mounted winches, for your snow plows, some people will put a cargo carrier on the front, a bike rack on the front, if they need to maximize their carrying capacity, so it's going to be pretty versatile.
It's a 2" by 2" receiver tube opening, that's going to work with all your class III accessories, even ball mounts you can put them in here, secure them with a pin and clip, and then you could kind of maneuver trailers around the yard or something like that. To secure all of our items in place, the hitch does use a 5/8 diameter pin hole. This pin hole, we'll use the class III rated accessories for, but you can see there's plenty of room here whether you want to use a locking type of device, locking hitch pin clip, or just a standard pin and clip, we should have no problems getting that secured. We've got three weight ratings on our hitch, the first is going to be the tongue weight rating and that's the maximum downward force that we can put here at the receiver tube opening, that's going to be 500-lbs. The gross trailer weight rating which is the total weight of our trailer and anything that we we're to load up on it is 5,000-lbs. The hitch is going to offer a straight line pull capacity of 9,000-lbs. That would mean if you had a winch connected here, and you anchored that off, and you we're pulling your truck, you wouldn't want to exceed that 9,000-lb mark which is going to be plenty enough to get our truck out of most situations.
If we need to, we can always double back to our tow hook here to increase that capacity. A couple measurements that will be helpful in selecting the right product for your hitch will be from the ground to the inside top edge of the receiver tube opening we've got about 11-1/2". Then from the center of our hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of our bumper, it's going to be about 6". Now, to begin our installation we need to remove the four bolts that are located right here. This is our driver's side frame rail, our tow hook's right there just for reference. You can see we've got two here, these nuts you need a 21mm to remove. Just below those we're going to use an 18mm socket.
You may have to throw a wrench on the other side there just to keep that nut from spinning. Now we'll pull that bolt out. What we're going to do is place that smaller bolt that goes back there through our bracket and put two washers on it. We want our bracket to have the notch towards the front and to be stepped in towards the middle of the vehicle. I'm going to place those on, I'm going to get that very loosely started for now because I've got two more washers that need to go on the longer bolt, which is in that location. We'll put our two nuts back on there.
We're going to get these down so our plate still has some wiggle room there, and then we'll put the nut on the backside of that larger bolt also. We do want it to be able to move around a little bit so when we get our center section put in we'll be able to do that. Then we just need to repeat the same process on the other side here. One thing to keep in mind on the passenger side is that we're not going to have that lower bolt location closer to the rear of the vehicle, so we've just got three. Now we'll want to slide our washers on our lower bolt there, and then we can put our bracket right up in position and re-secure it with the nuts. Now we want to take our short carriage bolts, those are going to go from the inside toward the outside. We're going to place them right up in those brackets that we installed. Got some little flange nuts there that thread on just to kind of help hold its position. Once we have two of those installed loosely on each side, we can get our other six started. To get our rear bolt in position, what we'll do is take our bolt leader, we're going to go right up through that bracket, and I'm going to add on two flat washers, and then also our oval hole spacer. That's to make up that gap that we've got underneath the frame rail there. Just going to get those slid into position, and now we'll turn our bolt leader out, that should allow us to bring it out of this round hole that's right in the middle of this cross-member. Once we've got it out, we want to slide on our spacer block and also thread on our carriage bolt. You 00:05:28 want to get those fed into the hole separately there and we can bring it on over. Once we've got that down through, we'll pull our fish wire off, then we want to thread on our flange nut just like that. Now we'll go through and start snugging down all of our hardware. Once we've got it all snug then we'll switch over to our torque wrench and torque it all down to the specifications listed in the instructions. Now we're ready to trim out this lower air dam. You may or may not have to do it depending on your style of truck. What I'm going to do is just mark on either side of the receiver there, and I'm going to make my mark inside of where I want to cut, so I'm going to cut down the outside of that line so I don't leave any residual paint there. Then we're going to go right up to the bottom of the plate, so we'll cut straight down those lines and we'll be removing this inside section, all the way up to that line. With our opening trimmed out, that's going to complete our installation of the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 31322 on our 2011 GMC Sierra.

I read the instructions, making sure i had the correct tools, and jacked my truck up.
The install took three hours as i was layiing on my back with simple hand tools.
The parts all fit and i am happy with the outcome. Good price, simple instructions, good fit.
I bought the Curt front hitch for the purpose to haul my Honda Generator on the Torklift Lock and Load in front of my 2009 Chevy Silverado. The installation is self explanatory, but I still watched the video provided by e-trailer, and it made it that much easier to put in. Especially by myself. It works perfectly for the purpose I bought it for.
Excellent product. Always pleased with Curt products. Quality built with easy to install video provided by etrailer. Shout out to Alex at etrailer for getting me the exact fit for my 2007 Chevy Silverado. Good job etrailer. Received with 4 days of order placement
High quality product. Good instructions and all the necessary parts. Had to buy a 21mm socket and use a racket strap to pull stabilizing bar back a little to reach hole in frame but no big deal.

After a season of plowing snow in Alaska my hitch is as good as new. It’s a lighter duty plow don’t still went through some abuse this last winter. No regrets on my purchase.
This product fit my needs perfectly. I purchased this hitch to mount a bicycle rack to the front of my pickup truck as I did not want to add weight to the back of my camp trailer on the flimsy bumper that is standard, and did not want to spend a fortune on a hitch that needed drilled or welded to my camp trailer. I looked at several options, and this appeared to be the best choice. With the video instructions and an hour of time, I had this hitch installed and bicycle rack in place. This product was relatively easy to install, and will suit my needs very well. Thank you etrailer!
Ordered for mounting a winch on the front of my Silverado.
Free shipping was appreciated and quite fast. Received it in 3 business days because of my location.
Instructions were included and simple.
Product was well protected and packaged great.
Installation went as well as expected. I had slight alignment difficulty due to a deer committing suicide via my truck this past fall, but that wasn’t the products fault. Took me just over an hour total from setting up to tearing down.
Good quality bolts make for ease of mind.
Overall highly recommend. Great company. Even followed up with an email to make sure everything was good.
Will purchase from then again when needed.
I have a "new body" Silverado, so I had to return the first hitch and get this one. Even with the VIN, etrailer wasn't sure which one I needed. Once identified, the other was returned and this one was shipped fast (as usual). The video for the install help didn't include the big square hole "spacer", which must go along with the bolt inside the frame. This doesn't stop the bolt from spinning anyway, but it tightened up fine. I DID have to use a die grinder to open up the frame hole about 3/8". Nice hitch, for the new plow.
Installed on my 2010 Silverado. Installation video was most helpful. Took about 2 hours to install which could have been shortened if I would have followed directions and not tightened bolts until the end. Product is good and customer service was as well. Would highly recommend.
Almost easy to install, for some reason alignment was difficult with the small bolts. Still not bad. Very happy overall.
Good solid American made product, Good price (I couldn't build it for that) Instructions where good, hour installation w/air tools, shipping was fast and free, all hardware was there (nothing missing). I would order again and would recommend.

All good
It was not as easy yo install as the video seems to suggest. I had planned to do it myself with the truck on ramps, but had to get someone with a lift to do it. Once the plates were mounted the main part didn't line up just right and it took more pressure than I could apply while lying on my back. Other than that it is great. Very strong and just what I needed.Thanks.
Beauty install. Just had to trim a 2x2inch slot in the air dam under the bumper. Didn't have to touch the facia. You can hardly see the receiver.
No drilling!!!
The questions that you answer about what truck you have do not get all the way to the correct model. So then when you scroll through the available products, it is showing products for different models that dont apply to your truck(like the 1500, 2500, 3500 etc). However, you dont realize this as you just finished putting in the inputs for your vehicles and then of course assume that the list they give you of available products would only include your vehicle since they say "confirmed fit" for your model. They sent me the hitch for the gmc sierra 1500, which does not fit my 2500 GMC and then want me to pay the $50 to send it back. It seems like the designers of the website should have finished the job before they went to lunch. Now I am out the money.

I will have our customer service department reach out to you.
Bought this hitch to add a plow to my 1/2ton truck the hitch was delivered with two of the same mounting brackets (passenger side) contacted them about problem and they said we will ship you the right bracket… bracket showed up and it had looked like it was dropped and slid across the pavement with multiple scratches and chips out of the paint. Not the happiest with the product since it’s not even on the truck yet. Over all the hitch it self is built well just horrible handling of products!

I hate that you experienced multiple issues with this order. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you as quickly as possible.
Curt Front Trailer Hitch arrived quite fast.
The hitch is very sturdy and attaches to the sturdy tow hooks.
The instructional video was very helpful especially for the step where you "fish" a bolt through the front frame rail. Turned out to be simple with the included fishwire. The video was for a 2007 Silverado but it was exactly the same as for my 2010 1500 Silverado.
Best installed with a helper at one point on a lift, but I installed it by myself using a pair of wheel ramps, a creeper, and a small hydraulic jack to lift the hitch into place for fitting and installation.
Why install a front hitch? When maneuvering a trailer in tight quarters, it is hard to do it with the trailer connected to the back of the tow vehicle. You have to keep straight which way to turn the steering wheel and the trailer's turning is slow to respond so you often turn too far and have to start over. With the trailer attached to the front of the vehicle, you can push the trailer into a tight place easily since the trailer responds immediately to steering changes. And, you can easily and immediately see the changes to the trailer's path. And you can also pull the trailer out of a tight path easily.
I grew up on a farm always pulling and pushing trailers into exact spots. I quickly found how great a front end hitch is for maneuvering.
I ordered both the front and rear Curt class 3 hitches for my 2008 Gm sierra. The factory rear hitch had rusted from the inside and had split all the way across. This new hitch is a lot more heavy duty , with thicker metal and the ends are sealed to keep water out. I liked it so much , I ordered this front hitch to use our bicycle rack on front when we pull our camper . Did not know how to carry our bikes until I ran across this hitch on Trailer. I think it will solve our problem . Thanks etrailer !!! Also had best price, got free shipping, prompt service, and excellent customer service !! Will definitely order from them again !!!
Snowsport PlowEtrailer.com does it right from start to finish. On top of having a great web site, the staff are the best.
Keeping in mind, I ordered this in December, about 5 days before our first big snow, here in Ohio. Within an hour of ordering my SnowSport HD plow, I was upgraded to special priority shipping, that was a nice surprise! The plow arrived in about two days, in three boxes, as I ordered the front hitch at the same time. I feel bad for my UPS carrier, these boxes were not for the faint of heart. The assembly went smoothly, the manufacturer uses high end parts and everything is well marked and the instructions are easy to follow. I estimate it took me two hours to get everything put together, with a coffee break in between. I am impressed with the construction, wow. Heavy duty is right!
We had four inches of snow yesterday. I opened the garage door and went to work, two pushes to clear the parking spots, and one easy push down the two hundred foot gravel driveway. Like butter.
I was done. It took less then 15 minutes. I put this blade on my 2003 rear wheel drive, not 4x4, Chevy Blazer. I backed into the garage and it looked like I had just put the blade on, this blade could last a long time. I love it. I cant wait until we get a foot or more of snow, my wife wants to plow next time. Plus I have cable chains comming from Etrailer, they should be here any day. Just in case my two wheel drive has tracktion problems in the deeper snow. Thanks a bunch, Etrailer!
We installed this on our 2011 Honda Ridgeline and a week later it snowed... And snowed.... And snowed.. 5 feet in 24 hours ( we live on the lake near Buffalo) and it's still snowing... This wasn't good, it was AWESOME! It was an easy install and assembly and worked absolutely perfect! We have a tough driveway and this kept it clear with no issues, no problems and we used it all day and night! When you spend that much on something you've never even seen before you can have reservations... It's worth every penny. It's solid ( more than we thought it would be) and does the job with ease. No .. It's good, but...... It's exactly as advertised and etrailer not only had the best price, the communication with my order was exceptional. Now... If only the town could send a plow down my street.....
Worked Great easy install
Fit between the mounting brackets on my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 was a little tight but it bolted up just fine.
Looks very well made.
I removed the lower front air dam ( I didn't like it anyway) & it fit perfectly underneath the bumper & license plate mount.
Will be using the front hitch skid shield with this.
Grant I.

FYI: The air dam is there to help with aerodynamics on the underside of the truck. In short, it helps make the truck more fuel efficient. No harm in removing it if you dont mind burning a bit more fuel.
Worked well with snowplow
etrailer was awesome as usual. I did have an issue with the product (Curt) having an incorrect part (two right side brackets, no right side bracket) which prevented installation of the receiver, Spoke with Dave at etrailer who initiated a fix for the problem right away. Cudos to Dave and etrailer but one star for Curt.
I had a few hiccups while assembling (over tightening things early, I think) but once I got it together it’s been awesome. Clears easily and efficiently. Have used to clear as much as 14” of snow (that required pushing off to the side more often) but once you get used to the technique this thing is a lifesaver. I can clear a 300’ long driveway in 15 minutes or so for an average 4-5” snowfall.
Seems to be well made but was disappointed in two areas. I'm glad etrailer had a video of the install because the directions provided were very vague. The other issue was the bolt hole on the bracket that bolted to my crossmember didn't line up. I had to take the receiver back off the truck and elongate the hole in the receiver.
I purchased a SnowSport 180 from Etrailer and a Curt 2" front mount insert from Etrailer. Everyone and everything concerning these events was excellent and so are the products. I COULDN'T BE MORE SATISFIED!

It worked out great, I use a winch, and can move it to the front or rear as needed.
