The SnowBear Proshovel conveniently slides into your vehicle's front-mounted trailer hitch for easy, convenient mounting. Smoothly and easily raise and lower the plow from the comfort of your cab with the remote-controlled electric actuator. The pivoting blade makes this plow ideal for rocky or uneven surfaces because it can adjust to the terrain. Angled trip springs are also built in to help keep the blade from catching and tripping.
Simple, Hitch-Mounted Installation
This hitch-mounted snowplow simply slides into your vehicle's front trailer hitch receiver, making it a breeze to install. Unlike a plow that attaches to custom-fit brackets, which ties you down to just 1 vehicle, this hitch-mounted plow can be used on most trucks or SUVs with a 2" x 2" front-mounted hitch. As a result, this plow can be easily switched between multiple vehicles. And because it offers a nearly universal fit, you won't have to buy a new plow when you replace your old vehicle.
To install the Proshovel snowplow, just slide the shank of the plow assembly into your 2" trailer hitch receiver . Then use a pin and clip or a hitch lock (sold separately) to secure the plow in the receiver.
How to Plow
Once the plow is mounted on your vehicle, lower the blade and set it to the desired angle. To set the angle, exit the vehicle and manually position the plow straight ahead, or 22 degrees to the left or to the right. Angling the blade allows you to push snow off to the side where you want it without having to change the angle of your entire vehicle. This is especially useful on a driveway or private roadway where piling the snow straight ahead would create a barrier.
To begin plowing, just drive forward. When backing up to take another pass, be sure to lift the plow with the remote or the in-cab toggle switch, then lower it again before moving forward. When approaching a large pile of snow, be sure to decrease your speed. Slamming into a pile of snow can void the warranty on the Proshovel.
When you are finished, put your vehicle in park and lower the plow. Remove the plow from your vehicle after every use.
Smooth, Controlled Lifting with Electric Actuator
The electric actuator on this plow allows you to lift and lower the blade using a toggle switch that mounts in your cab. You can also use the included wireless remote control. To raise the plow, activate the actuator. As the actuator moves along the internal screw, the arm on top of the actuator will pivot, raising the plow blade by pulling the chain that is attached to it. Having fewer moving parts than a typical winch makes this setup less complicated and less likely to break down than other plow lifting and lowering devices. There is also an internal clutch system that prevents damage to the actuator should you try to raise the blade too high or lower it too low.

Perfect for winches, spare tire carriers and more.I purchased a SnowBear Proshovel Snowplow and a 2" Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver for my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The front mount hitch receiver was a breeze to mount to my vehicle. Literally 15 minutes from start to finish. When the SnowBear plow arrived I was a little apprehensive, as it came in 3 separate boxes and some assembly was required. The directions included were phenomenal, easy to understand and took you through complete assembly step by step. This has been a wonderful experience and I could not be happier.

I have had this hitch installed for just over a year now on my '99 2-door Tahoe. The install was pretty straight forward, and the hitch itself has held up quite well through a year's worth of abuse. I use it to run my bike rack out the front; the receiver protrudes just below the factory front bumper, maximizing ground clearance when adding length to the front of the vehicle. And as you can see, the kit comes with two sets of hardware in case you want to maintain the factory tow hooks like I have.

Overall great product and fit nicely! I was able to replace the apron and license plate holder afterwards with little modification, just had to cutout for the hitch. The photo shows how I plan to use it so not much stress for the hitch but it feels extremely solid, I’m sure it would be great for winching.

Works great,looks nice on the vehicle fits tight under bumper like it came from the assembly line of my truck! I use it for my winches and moving trailers around the yard. Very easy install will take less than 20mins to install. I installed them on a 99 Chevy Tahoe and a 97 Chevy pickup. Very fast delivery from etrailer company
Fits perfectly, i like that it comes with the guide wires makes it all go smooth and easy! Install was maaaybe 30minutes and super simple, using it for winch set up, it is perfect (1993 chevy 1500 silverado extended cab) no modifications needed to my truck! Definitely a cheaper solution than to buying a modified bumper for winching. Nice sturdy product.
The unit exceeded my expectations. The fit was perfect. I also greatly appreciated the extra long bolts so that I could reinstall my OEM tow hooks. Those pulling wires are ingenious !
Front receiver hitch 94 Chevy 1500 4x4 only took 1/2 hr for installation no problems.

Great product, I used it to push snow Meyer home plow and move various trailers around.
drawtite front hitch receiver that bolts directly without modification onto vehicle and works smoothly for placing wagon in its small back corner storage space in a cramped storage yard.
Although it's a front hitch, when delivered, the sticker on the hitch says "not for front installation". Nice hitch and we installed it anyway, however it sat so high on our 1995 Suburban that the bike blocked the driver's view so we weren't able to use it in the front after all

I cant speak to the purpose of the sticker you describe. Draw-Tite confirms that this hitch is a confirmed fit for your vehicle and is indeed designed for use as a front mounted receiver hitch.
Etrailer as usual did an amazing job. Shipping was fast. Product was easy to install. The wires provided were a huge help with getting the bolts aligned properly. My only regret is that there isn't enough projects and money at my house to order more things from etrailer, but they are always my first click when looking. Thank you guys keep up the outstanding work.

Great hitch, fit my 98 Chevy K2500 like a glove. The only thing I'd change is to include 4 longer bolts for people who have tow hooks like my truck has. Had to buy longer ones.

It was easy to install and I amv very satisfied and would recommend this company and its products.
Overall a very good quality build. There was only one hiccup in installing that I call an oversight on the manufacturer. The front bolt can not be simply dropped in place because the bumper brackets inside the frame rail are in the way. it's close, but the head of the bolt can't get past it. Only 2 ways around it. remove the entire bumper to be able to remove those brackets, OR do what I did and grind off a little bit on the side of the carriage bolt head to get it to slide past the bracket. what little I had to grind off isn't going to be enough to compromise any weight or load capacity rating. easy enough fix for me, but if you don't have a way to grind the head down the installation will require removing the bumper and brackets. Took about an hour from start to finish. Had to trim just a little bit of the license plate bracket, no big deal.

Super easy install. My 7 year old am I did it in 20 minutes with cutting the lower bumper plastic to fit. Nice to retain the factory tow hooks with supplied hardware.
I received the front receiver hitch for my 1994 Chevrolet Ck series today and could not wait to get it installed a try it out. It is very well built and not too heavy. I am almost eighty years young and had no trouble at all with the installation all by myself.
Since I have no ramps to drive the front upon, I simply used a small scissor type jack to raise the hitch into place and bolted it up with no weight upon my body at all. Special thanks go out to your planners who thought up and included the "pull wires" in the package. They made it very easy for me to get all bolts into the frame holes to begin the installation. I think it would have been an almost impossible task without those wires.
As soon as I got it done, I connected up to a 20 foot utility trailer and moved it into place with ease. I will be doing much more of that in the future. Parking utility trailers while driving forward is much easier than doing it in reverse.

I am sorry for any confusion. I do see that this hitch is only designed to fit the GMC Sierra 1500 for the years 1988 - 1999. Since your vehicle is a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500, it is not a confirmed fit. I did, however, find part # DT44HR, which has the same specs as this hitch, that is a confirmed fit for your vehicle.
