Recommended Front Hitch, Snow Plow and Front-Axle Suspension Jounce Spring Kit for 1994 K2500 4x4
Question:
What is the best front hitch for a 94 Chevy K2500 4x4 to use a snow plow? Is it durable enough for snow plowing and what snow plow would you recommend?

Expert Reply:
For your 1994 Chevy K2500 4x4 the front-mount hitch I recommend is the no-drill Curt model # 31042.
This hitch offers a 500-lb vertical load rating, plenty for a snow plow like the 82-inch K2 # K2AVAL8219 or one of the others shown on the linked page.
With a heavy front-end plow load on the truck's suspension you might want to consider a suspension helper spring kit to help offset that load and reduce front sag. If your K2500 has front Stamped Lower Control Arms you can use Timbren front-axle jounce spring kit # TGMFK35C. This will not only support the plow's weight but will also help with roll stability.
