Front Hitch Recommendation for a 1997 GMC Yukon
Question:
Ordered a Hidden Hitch receiver for front of my 1997 GMC Yukon. This is a series 6000 with a 1 1/2inch reciever opening. I want to carry my Honda Trail 90 motorcycle on a carrier with a total weight of around 250#. My question is, will this hitch be adequate for this, or should I send it back and spend the extra money for a 2inch receiver hitch. I will probably need to get a adapter, because the bike carrier is made for a 2inch receiver. Will this cause a problem? Thank you,

Most likely you would need to upgrade your hitch to a 2 inch hitch like the Hitch part # 65005 because you will need the extra capacity and because you would have a hard time finding a hitch carrier designed to fit that hitch size.
The # 65005 has a capacity of 500 lbs of tongue weight. For a motorcycle carrier you could go with the Rage Carrier part # UF48-979033.
You will need to consider the fact that the motorcycle will block air flow to the radiator, block the headlights potentially and the license plate. You will want to check with your local DOT on whether or not this is legal in your area.
