For a new converter, the Replacement Converter for Parallax/Magnetek or WFCO RV Power Centers part # PD4635V will be a direct upgrade replacement for the Magnetek Converter Series 6300 Model that you have now. It sounds like yours has an internal problem and would need to be replaced since it has power and the fuses of it aren't blown. view full answer...
For your replacement 3 wire to 2 wire converter, I recommend the Curt Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # C56196 or the Tow Ready Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # 118158. Either of these are specifically designed to convert the 3 wire motorhome system to the 2 wire system of the vehicle being towed.
I've attached videos to assist. view full answer...
The Roadmaster bulb and socket kit # RM-155 requires a 4-Way trailer connector on the towing vehicle to power the bulbs. If your RV has a 4-Way already (or another common connector) then the signals are already converted and all you will have to do is install the bulbs and connect to the RV to power the lights.
If the RV does not have a trailer connector then you will need to install one using a converter like # 119178KIT. I have linked isntructions for you to view.
If the RV has a different... view full answer...
Yes you can use two of the Curt 2 to 3 Wire Tail Light Converter # C56196, one on each side of your RV to convert its 2-wire system to work with 3-wire lights. Doing it this way will prevent you from having to run the wiring from one side to the other on your RV.
You will not need to use any resistors, and the turn signals will work just fine.
I included a video of the # C56196 for you to take a look at. view full answer...
The Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Battery Charger # PD9180A can put out a charge amperage of 80 amps for 12 volt batteries which would easily be enough to charge four 12-volt batteries like you have. This was designed for battery charging so it would work well for your setup and would replace your current converter. view full answer...
I looked up your XanTrex XCDC 6012 and found that it's an 80 amp converter which we do have replacements for like with the Progressive Dynamics part # PD9180ALV for a lithium compatible converter or the part # PD9180A for a non-lithium battery. view full answer...

The trailer connector used on most semi-tractors is a 7-pin round which is similar to a 7-way flat used on most RV's but the big difference between them is how the stop and turn signals are wired. The stop and turn signal circuits are separate on semi-tractors and they need to be combined for most RV's. In order to do this you'll need a simple converter, the Roadmaster Brite-Lite Wiring Converter part # RM-732 and a new trailer connector, the Universal Brake Controller install Kit part... view full answer...
The converter sizing is based off load/pull from the electrical system. You'll size the batteries for the trailer first then you'll size the converter for the load on the batteries. If you're only drawing around 15 amps max then the Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Battery Charger part # PD9130 would work great for you. It's currently the smallest size converter we offer at 30 amps but will be fine for your setup. I don't recommend going higher as you can overcharge the... view full answer...
The Jensen RV Stereo part # JWM60A is designed to work using 12 volts and has a very low power draw. If you're trying to determine what size RV Converter you would need then the Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center part # PD4135K offers a 35 amp rating and would be more than enough not only for your radio but many other accessories as well. view full answer...
What you have on your RV is very common. There are several vehicles/RVs that have separate turn signals from brake lights so they require a converter like the part # C59496.

The Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center # PD4135K would be a great option for a replacement or new power converter for your 2001 Thor Scout. This is rated 35 amps which typically covers the power requirements of most RVs.

The easiest way to do what you need is to convert the signal on your RV's connector to a combined circuit and then install a 4-way on your RV like part # PK11404 in place of the 6-way.
For that you would want to start with a signal converter like part # RM-732. You will need to wire up the RV trailer wiring just like the label of the converter recommends. You'll notice that the running lights aren't mentioned on the label, that's because it bypasses the converter and runs straight to the... view full answer...
For your 2007 Dodge Sprinter RV chassis the brake and turn signals are sent along separate wires. A converter is required unless the vehicle is equipped with a tow package plug. The tow package plug has already been converted.
If you need a 4-way and you HAVE the tow package you only need the part # 118381, if you do not then you'd need the part # 118650 which does use a converter box. view full answer...

We have exactly what you need. This is a fairly common situation as most RV's are wired for separate taillights and most trailers are wired for combined trailer wiring circuits.
For that you will want the Roadmaster Brite-Lite Converter # RM-732 and 4-way like part # 18002.
First you will need to cut off the 4-way on your RV. Next, you will need to wire up the # RM-732 as follows.
