It sounds like you've got the deep drop bumper on your 1996 Ford F-350, so the correct B&W Class V hitch for your truck is the # BWHDRH25198. On the 2009 Chevy Silverado with the wiring completed to the bumper. There should be a factory knock out plug on the rear bumper. To remove that cover, there should be a tab that you can depress and turn the cover counter clockwise. With the cover out of the connector you can then install the Pollak Twist-in, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector for Chevy and GMC Vehicles - Vehicle End, # PK11916, and put that back into the bumper.
