We have several 5th wheel bracket/rail kits that would work for your 2017 Ram 2500 to install your Curt item # 16055 gooseneck plate adapter, but I'd recommend the Curt # C16427-204 as the least expensive alternative. The bed rails provided with the kit are industry standard, so they'd be compatible with your item # 16055 plate.

It sounds like the installation kit is the Reese universal kit # RP30035. To use it on your 2012 Ram 2500 short bed you would need to add bracket # RP58186. Most shanks are universal and will work with other brands of systems. As long as the holes are 3/4 inch in diameter and are spaced 1-1/4 inches apart they're interchangeable. Whether it's a shank for a 2 inch hitch or a 2-1/2 inch hitch the holes are normally the same.
