Trailer tires should be replaced no less than every 6 years no matter how little mileage they have on them. Tires will deteriorate at a faster rate if they are exposed to the elements, especially UV radiation from the sun. Temperature extremes also speed up deterioration. The vast majority of trailer tires are made overseas. This means that almost any tire you buy will be about 6-months old at minimum. From the date of manufacture the tire will be stored for some period of time, then be loaded into a shipping container. It will then spend about 2 months in transit on the ocean/going through customs and then be stored in a warehousing facility here in the states.
