The battery is sealed inside the camera, but can be accessed. It depends on the amp hours of the batteries, and if you have different amp hours, the larger one will charge/discharge slower. But if they are the exact same battery, and both are charged equally, then it will be pretty close to the same rate.

It is permissible to have your trailer breakaway and water pump wired in the way you describe - under certain circumstances.

A trailer mounted battery is typically maintained by the 12-volt accessory circuit from the 7-way trailer connector. If the accessory circuit on your 7-way is live even when the ignition is shut off, it is possible that the battery on your truck could be discharged.
