It's best to only loosely install the mounting hardware at first, and once you get all of the hardware started go through and torque everything to spec. So I would recommend you loosen the bolts you've already tightened to give you a bit of room to move the hitch around and get that last bolt started.

It is normal to have a little play between the hitch and your bike rack, and that play is what causes the rattling you are experiencing.
If you wanted to reduce that play you could use a the no-Rattle Trailer Hitch Wedge # MPG908.

Roof rack crossbars do generate noise and some make more noise than others. Round and square bar roof racks tend to be the noisiest and elliptical and aerodynamic bars tend to make less noise. No roof rack will be particularly quiet when you have your sunroof open. That is just the nature of the beast.

The Draw Tite Hitch part # 24914 is designed to fit inside the two tail pipes like what you see in the picture I attached. What most likely happened is your hitch got slightly bent in shipping and that is what is causing the interference. As long as the hitch isn't creased, paint is flaking, or other wise visibly distressed you would want to apply controlled force to the hitch to bend it back in shape.

There is no trimming required for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C98BR on a 2022 Mazda 3. The only thing we typically see creating noise after install is heat shields and mufflers. The bumper and hitch are both fixed so this is not likely the issue. We have a similar product as the one you referenced, part # C35FR. This product works on most German vehicles that have a hard time detecting trailers with LED taillights. I would normally recommend this for a situation like yours. But we have had feedback with other Land Rover owners who have reported that this product did not work with their trailer with LED taillights.
