How to Get that Last Bolt to Line Up When Installing a Trailer Hitch

Question:

I have this hitch installed on my 08 Mazda Speed3 and everything fits great except the hole on the driver side, above the muffler. It does not line up correctly and I only realized that after I got all of the other 3 bolts tightened down. There is not much room to get any tools in there now that its in place to redrill the hole in a location more to the left. Have you had any feedback from other users on this issue with this specific model?

It's best to only loosely install the mounting hardware at first, and once you get all of the hardware started go through and torque everything to spec. So I would recommend you loosen the bolts you've already tightened to give you a bit of room to move the hitch around and get that last bolt started.

I also attached an install video for this hitch plus an FAQ on hitch install tips for you to check out.
