For activating the tail lights of your 2008 Mini Cooper with your RV while the Mini is being flat-towed you will want to check out the FAQs I attached that detail how this is done. The process and installation will be the exact same as what you would need to do to install a diode kit on your vehicle.
Basically, you will use a set of diodes installed in your vehicle to operate the tail lights of you vehicle with the tow bar wiring from your RV. This will not affect the functioning of your... view full answer...
Your trailer will be completely safe from your 2015 Mini Cooper exhaust with the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH67FR installed.
To complete your trailer towing setup you need the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236, the Eclipse Magnetic Mounting Bracket # 306-X6019, and a ball mount to match the height of your trailer.
Be sure to mount the wiring bracket out to the side of the hitch because the exhaust will definitely melt the wiring if you have it close to the exhaust.... view full answer...
The 4-pin round connector that includes the transmitter for the Custer Wireless LED Tow Bar Light # LIW-LDTL will plug into the 4-pin connector on your motorhome and then transmit the signal to the light bar.
If you do not have a 4-pin round connector on your motorhome, you would need to add one. You can do this using the Pollak 4-Pole Round Wiring Socket # PK11404. Once you have the plug, you then need to route 16-gauge wire # 16-4B-1 to those pins into your current wiring.

In order to determine the wiring functions behind the taillights of your 2006 Mini Cooper you will need to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 if needed. You will have someone sit in the vehicle and run through the turn signal, brake, and running light functions while you test the wires.
I know that on a 2005 model the wires are purple for running lights, black with green tracer is brake lights, and blue with green tracer for left turn signal. On the passenger side the blue with tan tracer... view full answer...
When I first got my Raceway bike rack, I had the same problem. There are a couple of things that you can try to get the top hooks in place. First, what works for me is to put the hook above the opening it needs to go into and then pushing it into place. The coating protects the vehicle from any damage.
Another thing you can do is pull out some slack from the retractable cable and try to get the hook in at the corner or edge and then slide it over into position. This works for me when I... view full answer...
I am a little bit confused as to what you are wanting to do. The Blue Ox Tail Light Wiring Kit # BX88267 that you mentioned uses its own bulb that works both as the brake and turning signals. It completely bypasses the wiring on your 2004 Mini Cooper and directly connects to the motorhome for signal source.
If you check out the linked installation video you can see our team install this kit as well as the Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-164-7 for flat towed wiring. view full answer...
The Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack # SA805BL you were looking at is made out of a durable injection molded plastic which will hold up just fine in the rain.
With that being said Saris does recommend removing the # SA805BL from your vehicle when it is not in use.
I included a video of the Saris Bones 2 # SA805BL for you to take a look at. view full answer...
The rear center light of your 2004 Mini Cooper will need to be removed to install the Curt hitch part # C11126. The hole where the light was is where the hitch opening will come out.
Check out the install instructions link I attached for more info on how the hitch installs.
For trailer wiring you would need the part # 119250KIT, for a ball mount # C45551 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or part # C45552 for a 2 inch ball. view full answer...
I have included a picture from Yakima showing the measurements for installing a roof rack on the 2007 Mini Cooper. Basically from the to edge of the windshield to the nearest edge of the front foot is 4 inches. And then from the center of the front bar back to the center of the rear bar it can be anywhere from 28-1/2 to 45 inches. view full answer...
I've attached the installation video for the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit # 521876-1 below where Ryan will talk about cutting down the tip of the forward facing bolts about 1/8" at the 12 minute mark. At the 12:38 minute mark he'll show you how to install the U-bolts. These bolts are an essential part of the installation and I do not recommend towing your 2002 Mini Cooper until the U-bolts have been installed. view full answer...
Yes. The Blue Ox Acclaim Tow Bar - A-Frame - Car Mount - 5,000 lbs # BX4330 does remove from the Blue Ox base plates # BX1303 when you're not towing; most of the time the tow bar will be stored on the coach- either locked to the receiver on the RV or removed and locked up in storage. All you'll need to do when you reach your destination is pull the pins that are used to connect to the base plates and you're free to drive your 2006 Mini Cooper wherever you need.
I've linked a review video... view full answer...
When installing the Replacement Breakaway Switch # RM-650898 for your EvenBrake 9300 supplemental braking system you will need to use the Replacement Wiring Harness for Breakaway Switch # RM-650899. These will be the two parts you are going to need to install the switch. view full answer...
We actually have a video of a trailer hitch being installed on a 2005 Mini Cooper that you can check out. I have provided a link to the installation video as well as a link to the installation instructions. At this time, the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch, # C11126, is the only trailer hitch available for your vehicle.
The rear bumper will need to be removed to install this hitch. Our installers found that removing the rear wheels and spare tire made this process much easier. The specific... view full answer...
Roadmaster quotes their installers to take around 2-1/2 hours, however an experienced professional should expect installation of the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521882-5 to take around 3 hours.
If you are a novice, you can expect this to take a bit longer as there is some trimming of the shock absorption pad, active air shutter louvers or housing, lower air dam, air deflector, cowling and/or rock guard is required.
I have also included an installation video of # RM-521882-5... view full answer...
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11272 that you referenced is confirmed to fit your 2012 Mini Cooper Baker Street Edition. You will remove the rear bumper for the installation but you will not have to leave the backup light in your picture hanging. There is a small hole that you will need to cut in the fascia that is below your bumper though. I have attached a picture pointing out the estimated location. You will need to follow the instructions for that exact location.

There are 2 metal rings welded to the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 11130, on each side of the receiver to attach safety chains. You will have to reach up behind the bumper fascia to connect the safety chains.
For safety chains, we have 48 Inch Long Safety Chain, part # 2114-553-04. For quick links to attach the chains, we have the Safety Chain Quick Link, part # C82932.
Instructions and a video installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch # 11130 are linked. view full answer...
The video you watched for the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 was installed on a 2016 Mini Cooper, and the missing colors are likely due from a harness change from 2013-2016, which isn't all that uncommon.
Instead, you're going to need to test your vehicle's harness with a circuit tester # PTW2993 for functionality and match the wires to the wire harness based on functionality.
The wire code for # RM-15267 is as follows:
-Green = Right Turn.

While it doesn't need to be drilled, the lower front grille of your 2008 Mini Cooper S Hardtop does need to be trimmed in order to install the base plates that fit (unless you have the Sport suspension), which are the following part number:
- Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit # 521877-1
This is necessary in order to allow the arms to protrude so the tow bar has a place to attach. Along with the base plates, the rest of the flat tow set up for your '08 Mini Cooper S Hardtop consists of the... view full answer...
In a flat towing diode wiring setup such as with Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15247 you can test the functionality of the installation on the toad by applying 12V power from a spare battery or even from the Mini's battery.
You'll want to confirm which pin on the vehicle connector is grounded, either to the battery negative terminal or to a chassis ground. This should be the wire with the ring terminal. Then one at a time apply +12V power to the other pins... view full answer...
