Yes, you can just plug in the 4-Way from your 2007 GMC Acadia into the Tow Ready Adapter, # 30717, but you will have to ground the white wire on the adapter. It will need to attach to a clean and corrosion free bare metal surface.
If the trailer does not have electric brakes, it makes me wonder why it has a 7-Way. If it has items on it that require 12 volt power you would need to connect the black wire on the adapter to the vehicle battery via a 40 amp circuit breaker, # PK54540, and about... view full answer...
The 2008 GMC Acadia Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2" # 75528 is a quality choice for your vehicle, and it comes with all the hardware you'll need for installation.
If you plan on towing, you'll want to grab a wiring harness and ball mount set-up as well.
Wiring harness for a vehicle without a tow package # 118451
Wiring harness with tow package # 118384
I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip,... view full answer...
In regards to the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller part # # RED24FR, the unit should not be illuminated while driving without a trailer. If you press the button while a trailer is not attached you should see a breathing blue light and that simply indicates the controller is in sleep mode. This is further explained in the manual so please give this a look over. view full answer...
I have linked 2 installation videos that we have below for the Roadmaster EZ Crossbar Style Base Plate Kit # 523149-1. While we do not have one with your exact 2007 GMC Acadia, I have included one for a 2009 Buick Enclave which is the Buick version on the same chassis. The other video is for a 2015 GMC Acadia. view full answer...
From what I see, if your 2011 GMC Acadia has a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector, then all you will need to do is plug in the plug side of the wiring harness, # 3026-S, into the matching connector on the vehicle. It is located underneath the dash and to the left of the steering column. It will be taped to another harness close to the emergency brake pedal. The bare wire end gets connected to the brake controller by color.

Black = 12 volt power
Blue = output

The FuseMaster Bypass Switches # RM-76517 and # RM76511 can be used to help make prepping your 2019 GMC Acadia for flat towing easier, but when it comes to the standard procedures for setting up your Acadia put in place by the manufacturer there isn't really a way to get by that and make it any easier. Since flat towing is different than every day functions of vehicles the manufacturers usually make it a little more tricky to get into flat tow mode so that this doesn't happen on accident. view full answer...
The Lets Go Aero Cargo Cover for BossHog Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier - Weather Resistant - 22 cu ft # H01489 will not tuck inside but rather fit on the exterior as shown in the attached photos for rain resistance. Our product video shows you can alternatively tuck it inside if desired but that is more for dust and dirt coverage. To keep rain and snow out, you will want to secure the cover to the outside using the cam straps and buckles to deflect the water outside the carrier which otherwise... view full answer...
After installing the Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 76023, the rear fascia has an access panel that was removed from the vehicle. Part of the receiver tube is still visible. If you want a cleaner oem look, I suggest cutting a square in that panel to only leave the tube exposed and putting the panel back in place.
If your vehicle doesn't have a factory tow package, you need # 118720. This kit powers your trailer lights. This Tekonsha T-Connector harness is very easy to install and the unit is... view full answer...
We've had customers who have installed the Draw Tite Hitch part # 75528 on a 2012 GMC Acadia come back and say they were able to reinstall the fascia once it was all said and done.
We have not had that happen with the Curt part # 13424 yet so I would go with the safe bet of the # 75528 instead. view full answer...
It can seem really random what vehicle manufacturers decide to include and exclude on vehicles without tow packages in terms of circuits they do install and those that aren't there. So you for your 2012 Acadia you have the brake controller power, ground, and stoplight circuit but basically everything else is non-existent.
So what you are going to need to do is install the 4-way kit part # 118451 to give you the taillight circuits you'd then need to wire to your 7-way directly after cutting... view full answer...
To mount the air connector from the Demco Air Force One # SM99243 to the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1728 for your 2018 GMC Acadia I recommend flipping the bracket that comes with your wiring, like the Roadmaster # RM-15267, upside down so you can mount the air connector below the wiring socket.
Attached are some photos to show what I'm talking about. I'm also adding installation videos of the Blue Ox and Demco kits for you to check out. view full answer...
That is correct. The LED bulbs for the Tail Light Wiring Kit # RM-152-LED will install into the tail light housing on your 2019 Chevy Equinox and then you'll route the 4-wire harness to the front of the vehicle and install it in a plug like what comes with the Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-146-7 so they receive power directly from the motorhome.
For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly... view full answer...
It looks as if you were to drill holes into the tabs on the Demco Base Plate Pull Ear Covers part # DM5899 that you could then align them with the holes on the Demco Base Plate Kit. A bolt with nut or pin with clip could then be used to make sure the covers do not fall off. If this is not something you feel comfortable doing then zip ties would be the next best option though they also would not look the best either. view full answer...
Yes, the Malone roof rack part number part # MPG215 is a confirmed fit for your 2016 GMC Acadia that has factory rails that run front to back. These mount very securely and would not have an issue staying on with the luggage you mentioned (as long as it's under the capacity of the rack 165 lbs) and at the speeds you mentioned as well. view full answer...
The Thule Venture is basically the same as the Thule Passage # TH911XT. To install the Passage on your 2015 GMC Acadia you do want to place the lower arm on the upper tier of the rear bumper. We haven't had the chance to make a video of it on an Acadia like yours.
It is confirmed to fit your Acadia but you will not be able to use the rear wiper. view full answer...
Even though your 2017 GMC Acadia has the emergency brake in the center console and not at the left hand side, the brake controller connector will still be located under the dash on your driver, side as you can see in the attached photo. The plug for a brake controller adapter, like part # 3026-P for a Tekonsha/Draw-Tite brake controller, should be located there. It will be taped to another harness to the left of the steering column. If you don't already have a brake controller I really... view full answer...
You will need to use two different fuse bypass kits; the Roadmaster FuseMaster # RM76514 has two fuse holders for the both the ONSTAR and ECM fuse and the Roadmaster FuseMaster # RM-76517 for the BATT1 fuse. These fuses do more than just drain the battery and would still need to be removed regardless if you installed the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25. I do still recommend installing a charge line to save yourself from any dead battery issues, but you'll still need to pull... view full answer...
The red handled pin with the cable on the Yakima HoldUp bike carrier # Y02443-2 is basically a failsafe pin. In the instructions they call in the stabilizer pin. Should something occur to the spring loaded pin that allows the carrier to fold up and down that pin with the cable will prevent the carrier from pivoting unexpectedly. You will want to use the pin as described in the installation instructions. It basically says to always use it.

The braking pressure that the Invisi-Brake System # RM-8700 that you referenced comes from the factory set at is the most universal setting that works for most applications.
