Good question and the 2,000 lb working load limit (WLL) of the Erickson Horizontal E-Track such as the 5 foot # E19148 is the safe limit for the weight of the cargo the track is helping secure. To simplify, it is the cargo capacity that the track can safely handle so you do not want to exceed it. However, the 2,000 lb limit is per track, so that means if you put down two tracks horizontally, your WLL would go up to 4,000 lbs.
This track cannot actually be welded on, it needs to be secured... view full answer...
For the E-Track Trailer Cargo Control to be able to reach it's full capacity, the direction of the pull should be parallel to the direction that the e track is installed.
How much the capacity would be lowered by pulling the load perpendicular to the E-Track will depend on the weight of the load and the stress placed on the track. If the load is close to the capacity of the straps, pulling at a 90 degree angle could damage the track or the clip that locks the strap into the track. view full answer...
Routing out a channel in the trailer like you describe is a very slick method of attaching the e-track that works very well.
The e-track is .430 or a bit less than 7/16 of an inch thick (see photo). view full answer...
I went out into our warehouse and measured the distance from the ratchet mechanism to the e-track fastener of the Snap-Loc E-Track Tie-Down Strap # SLLS28RER and found that it measures 7-1/2 inches. view full answer...
On the Erickson E-Track Strap with Cam Lock Buckle, part # EM59151, the strap length of the fixed section end is 7 inches. I did a short video of the strap to show you how I measured it.
I also have the Erickson E-Track 2 Inch D-Ring, part # E59143, that can be used with the e-track system. It is just the fixed end that snaps into the e-track and the length of the strap is 6 inches. view full answer...
I reached out to CargoSmart and found that there is no weight capacity rating for the CargoSmart Motorcycle Wheel Chock for E-Track or X-Track Systems # 3481731 since it is only meant to stabilize your motorcycle. The limiting factor would be the E-track in this case.
Assuming you are using the single slot E-track tie-down points like the Snap-Loc E-Track Tie-Down Anchor # SLSB you shouldn't have any problems. Although I do not know the capacity of what you have, each of these has a safe... view full answer...
The Brophy 5 Slot Tool Rack for E-Track - Black Powder Coated Steel # ETTH is 24 inches long edge to edge. The inner diameter of each slot is 2 inches and the fittings that mount to your E-Track are 16 inches on center. I've attached a couple videos to assist.
If you don't already have the E-Track or are looking for other accessories, I've linked the page to all your options. view full answer...
Yes, the Erickson Horizontal E-Track part # E19148 will be plenty strong enough to secure your two rock crawler buggies. The tracks are each rated at 6,000 lbs max break strength and 2,000 working load limit. I assume you would have a track under each wheel so these figures would then be doubled. With that in mind, the weight capacity of these tracks in is regards to pull strength. The full weight of the vehicle should never be directly pulling on the tracks unless you were to hang them... view full answer...
The lead - the length of strap between the cam buckle and e-track fitting - is 16 inches on the Snap-Loc E-Track Tie-Down Strap w/ Cam Buckle - 2" x 16' - 1,000 lbs # SLLS216CER. view full answer...
If you are planning on using an E-track wheel strap like the part # EM58523 (which would be your best and easiest option for securing the vehicle), you would want to space the E-track sections the exact same width as the tires on your vehicle.
Right down the middle like in the picture I attached would be ideal.
The ratings for the tracks is the amount of weight they can secure.
So part # EM19147 can secure up to 6,000 lbs. view full answer...
There's not a set distance that the E-Tracks like part # E19148 should be apart when installing in a one bike trailer. That will depend on the trailer dimensions, the weight of the trailer and where the best mounting locations are in your trailer. Are you planning on installing them on the floor or the walls? I am assuming it's a motorcycle trailer. If you are using wheel chocks, I would recommend putting the E-Tracks a couple feet on either side if possible. You don't need an exact figure... view full answer...
I spoke to my contact at Erickson and they informed me that the E-Track like part # E19148 is zinc plated.

The E-Track Wood Beam Socket you mention, part # 59149 can be mounted in any orientation you wish.As you can see in the photo I provided, the slots in the E-Track measure 2 inches apart on center. Moving from one slot to the next would provide 2 inches of adjustment. There is a small amount of side-to-side movement once the beam socket is connected to the E-Track. view full answer...
The Erickson E-Tracks such as 5-foot-long # E19148 and 2-foot # EM59150 are rated for 2000-lbs.
This rating presumes that the mounting surface you attach them to and the fasteners you use are also rated at least for this much weight. Installation of E-Track should use no less than 2 fasteners per linear foot per side.
The tracks clearly do not have the capacity to suspend your 18K-lb load and the trailer wall itself will need to be really strong to hold a load like that. Depending on your... view full answer...
The CargoSmart Standard Track Bungee Straps part # 3481712 are only designed to secure small items inside a trailer therefore, they don't have the max break strength or working load limit (WILL) rating that you are after as the manufacturer simply does not test for this. However, I can tell you that anytime you are using a set of e-tracks, the weight capacity of the tie-down will be limited by how the track itself is mounted. If you needed to secure heavier items on the e-tracks you would... view full answer...
The roller of the Erickson Roller Idler for E-Track # EM09144 that you referenced is 3 inches from where it attaches to the E-track. The E-track will then be 7/16 of an inch from the ground so in total the roller of the # EM09144 is 3-7/16 inches tall from your trailer floor. view full answer...
The capacity is 2,000 lbs per track for the etrailer Horizontal E-Track - Black Powder Coated Steel - 2,000 lbs - 94" Long # e42VR.
The weight capacity is per track, so using two of them side-by-side will give you a 4,000 lb capacity. So yes it can haul vehicles, assuming they are no more than 4,000 lbs. view full answer...
