We carry 2 trailer hitch receivers to fit your 2012 Ford Edge; the Curt part # C13067 and the Draw-Tite part # 75728. Between them I prefer the Draw-Tite simply for aesthetics. Since the difference between the 2019 Ford Edge Titanium and the other models is that the Titanium comes with LED taillights Tekonsha had to make a different kit with a different converter box that accommodates the difference in lighting. If I were choosing between the Tekonsha harness, # 118551 and the Curt wiring harness, # C56329 for a 2007 Ford Edge, I would go for the 118551. Tekonsha has been in the wiring business longer, they have great support, and they work well if you take care of them (make sure to keep the 4-Way clean, store it in the vehicle when not in use, stay within the amperage limits).

With the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75234 having the hidden cross tube receiver, it will require the removal of the center panel with the heat shields attached on your 2018 Ford Edge. There is no major concerns with the gravel being stuck up there as it will still be able to fall out. I did some research to find out what the difference is between the 2014 Ford Edge and the Edge Sport, and why there were different hitches available.
They told me that the exhaust on the Sport model sits a bit lower than the other models, so they have manufactured hitches to accommodate the difference.

Curt is new to bike racks. Swagman has been making them for many, many years. So you can imagine where Curt might have drawn their inspiration from!
