Helpful Expert Reply:
I did some research to find out what the difference is between the 2014 Ford Edge and the Edge Sport, and why there were different hitches available.
They told me that the exhaust on the Sport model sits a bit lower than the other models, so they have manufactured hitches to accommodate the difference.
If you have a Sport model Edge I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch, part # 75728. This is a Class lll hitch with a 2 inch receiver opening.
If you do not have the Sport model, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame, part # 75992. It is also a Class lll hitch with a 2 inch receiver opening.
If you are planning on towing, I recommend the etrailer.com ball mount kit, part # 989900. This kit comes with 2 hitch balls, 2 ball mounts, the pin an clip and a storage bag. I have attached a product review video for this kit you can take a look at.
