• I do have a possible solution for you but there aren't shorter screws made specifically for the Rhino-Rack ski/rod carrier # RR572. The screws are M6 x 40mm which is about 1-1/2 inches long. Thule has a set of M6 x 27mm screws, # 1500052564, which are 1 inch long. But they are not tamper-proof.
