Hello Andrew. You are correct that the # PD52 cannot be mounted horizontally. An alternative would be to use the Furrion Automatic Transfer Switch # F50ATS. This is a very similar 50 amp transfer switch and it does not have any such mounting position restrictions. Furrion just recommend that you find a secure, indoor mounting location that will be sheltered from the elements. The steering wheel shouldn't be locked when flat towing since the wheels need to be able to turn. I'm assuming since the manual says to turn the ignition to lock that it won't be a problem and still allows them to turn. It is always important to follow the owner's manual when flat towing. If you really want to be sure I would talk to your local dealer about it first.

That does sounds frustrating, Cody. But, I do think I've stumbled onto something you can use. According to the instructions, the wiring for the actual fan motor goes:
-Connect the white (positive) wire from motor to the white (positive) wire from the ceiling,
-Connect the motor grounding wire from to the grounding wire in the ceiling,
-Connect the blue (negative) wire from motor to the blue (negative) wire to the ceiling.

To trickle charge from the 7-way you can just run a 12AWG line from the 12v accessory wire in the 7-way/junction box to the battery. From there you can install a small charger like the NOCO Genius Smart Battery Charger # 329-GENIUS2D. This charger can plug into an outlet and will provide a small 2 amp charge for the battery and is recommended for batteries rated up to 40 amp-hours. AAMCO most likely disconnected it when they did work on your vehicle since most vehicles require disconnected the battery before doing so so my guess would be that they forgot to reconnect it at the battery upon completion of the work so you should check there. Yes, the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 can be installed on your 1973 Ford Bronco. You'll will need to have a 4-pole connector first though. If you don't have one then you'll need the Curt 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector with Circuit Protected Powered Tail Light Converter # C56496 along with installation kit # 55151.

The arm length just dictates how far out the the awning can extend away from the trailer so you can still go with with smaller arms, you'll just likely have to fill in the old bolt holes from the previous arms.
