Curt doesn't make hitches with detachable receivers. The only one they offer that fits your 2018 GLE 350 that does not require trimming is their item # C13294 you were looking at.

Based on the fact you're adding the InvisiBrake # RM-8700, I believe you have one of the Curt tow bar wiring harnesses and you aren't actually referring to a trailer wiring harness or trailer lights. More than likely the problem is the diode installation. Double check the diodes and make sure the connections are correct. This is the only thing I know of that would cause the lights to stop working. It wouldn't hurt to double check the rest of the installation just to be sure. view full answer...

To install your Putco Blade LED Tailgate Light Bar # P22KR you'll need to just remove the tail lights so that you can get access to the back wiring in the back of them. The plug-and-play connectors on the wire harness with have a male and female connector so that you can connect to factory wiring connector with the female plug and to the tail light with the male plug. Yes, they will both work with your 2020 Jeep Cherokee so long as you do not have the tow package. The Curt dinghy tow harness 58963 and the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C56406 connect in line to your factory wiring harness. As far as having enough room there's plenty you'll just have to push the wires down below the lights.

Since you said the tow kit I'm assuming you are referring to the Towing Kit w/ Ball Mount and Trailer Wiring for Stealth Hitches # SH79FR that comes with the # SH84FRT. It sounds like you have a 3-wire system on the tow vehicle and you're connecting to a 2-wire system trailer so you'd just need a converter like the Curt # C56196 to make the your lights function properly. Hey Shane, for your 2020 Lexus RX 350 that didn't have a factory hitch the trailer wiring that you honestly should have gone with is the part # C56217 which is for the versions of the vehicle that don't have the tow package. While your vehicle has the connector it's not active which is why it's not working as-is. Maybe Lexus dealer could activate the wiring harness but we don't have any info on that. view full answer...
Even though you don't have the tow package you can use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 118270. This will plug into your factory connector at the rear of your 2017 Traverse. It also includes all of the necessary fuses and relays to activate the tow package so it doesn't matter that your vehicle didn't come with it.

The Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit # RM-154 needs to be installed on your 2023 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk for flat towing unless you have ParkSense proximity sensors. If you have ParkSense you need the # RM47ZR instead.
