Do AC and DC Grounds Need to Have Their Own Connections
Question:
Finally had someone look at this and the ground wire was hot! I just found out wasn’t supposed to use the same ground bar for both ac and dc! Do I need a separate ground bar for the DC side? And they should be grounded on the frame in different areas? Correct? Home built with small pickup camper.

Thanks for reaching out, Peter!
The Progressive Dynamics 4100 Series RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel # PD4135K does have separate grounds for the AC and DC power sections. If you check out the linked installation video starting at the 20 minute mark you'll see how we wired in the power center. One of the bus bars is used for the AC ground and the other bus bar is used for the AC neutral and the DC ground.

Thank you for your response! Just to clarify! So, if I’m understanding correctly! I’m to put the individual D/C grounding wires along with the AC neutral wires together on the neutral bar in the unit ?
