While both the capacity of the Swagman XC2 bike rack item # S64650 and the Curt trailer hitch item # C57CR are within capacity, and will mechanically work together, Swagman says it needs to used on a minimum Class 2 hitch receiver. On some of the older hitches there was a metal piece welded into the rear of the 1 1/4" receivers. This was done so you couldn't insert the 1 1/4" bike rack into the 1 1/4" hitch receiver.
