The only people that have problems with the Curt trailer wiring part # C56496 burning out are the ones who do not properly secure the converter box. If the box comes loose and starts banging around it will eventually burn out. Aside from that it is an excellent option that has been confirmed as a fit for your vehicle.

I can tell you how to determine the correct hub for your trailer, and you should be able to get one with a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, but it really depends on the spindle that is currently on the trailer. You do need to know the weight rating of your axle, as well as what bearings your current hub has.
