Will Curt Trailer Wiring for a 2015 Acura TLX Short Out

Question:

I own a 2015 Acura TLX - 4 cylinder car. Last May I installed a trailer hitch for a 3.5 x 5.5 utility trailer. I also purchased a Curt taillight converter #56146. The local U Haul didnt want to install because they said they burn out quickly. I went back this week with the same wireing and they recommended that I buy a quick connect system. Ive used the converter system in several Acura cars the last 30 years and have never had a problem. I would appreciate any input you might have. Thanks for your help.

The only people that have problems with the Curt trailer wiring part # C56496 burning out are the ones who do not properly secure the converter box. If the box comes loose and starts banging around it will eventually burn out. Aside from that it is an excellent option that has been confirmed as a fit for your vehicle.

We don't have any confirmed fit T-connector style harnesses for your vehicle so I am not sure if they have your vehicle confused with a different one like a regular TL.
