Weight of Kuat Transfer and Thule T2 Classic

What is the weight of the: Kuat 2 bike transfer Thule T2 Is the Kuat a nice rack, will it work with Electra Townie 7d bIKES

The Kuat Transfer part # KU74FR weighs 47 lbs. The Thule T2 Classic # TH9044-TH9046 weighs 50 lbs when set up to carry 2 bikes and 85 lbs when set up to carry 4 bikes.

The Kuat Transfer is a great bike rack. It is really selling well for us because of it's relative light weight and the fact that it only touches the bike at the tires. It's a bit more stripped down that the other racks but that's part of why it weighs less. Only real downside is that it has a lower weight capacity at 40 lbs which may not be quite enough for your Electra bikes. The Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH69TX can carry 2-4 bikes up to 60 lbs each. If you only need to carry 2 bikes, the T2 Pro XTR is offered in the 2-bike version # TH83JV.

The Freedom Superclamp # SA4025 weighs 30 pounds though and would be my best recommendation.
