Most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. Both the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness # 118409 and the Hopkins Plug-N-Tow Wiring Harness # 42615 will work on your 2000 Jeep TJ Wrangler Sport. The difference is what you mentioned, how they install to the vehicle.
