Recommended Supplemental Braking System to Flat Tow a 1999 Jeep TJ

I am looking for a brake for the Jeep as I am being told it is the law in California when towing the Jeep behind a motorhome. Do you sell something that can hookup to the 1999 Jeep TJ?

We do have a few supplemental braking systems that will fit your 1999 Jeep TJ. I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251 which becomes plug and play after the initial installation. It does require the relay # RM-88400 to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.

If you want an easy installation that requires just a short install time for each use, I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency # BLU37TR. This system physically uses your Jeep brake pedal for the assisted braking.
