  • Wiring Harness Troubleshooting For 2018 Nissan Rogue
  • It is very odd that only the third brake light on your Rogue would be acting up after installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118480; it really should not be possible that only the third brake light is having an issue. I contacted the manufacturer about this and was told they have never heard of anything like this happening. They recommended disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery for about 5 minutes to reset any module that could have...

  • Does Installation of Hitch 75902 on 2018 Nissan Rogue Affect Rear Lift Gate Sensors
  • When a hitch like # 75902 is installed on a vehicle that has multiple rear bumper lift gate sensors usually it is only the center one that might be affected by the presence of the hitch tube. In practical terms all this means is that the liftgate function will need to be activated via one of the other sensors on the bumper. So instead of triggering the lift function by waving your foot near the center sensor as we'd all typically do, you'll simply do this near one of the others. I know...

  • Can The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Be Wired Into A Fused Outlet Instead Being Ran To The Battery
  • Technically you could splice into this outlet for since it does have a 10 amp fuse but you'd have to ensure the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118480 is the only thing on this line and would render the outlet useless. If you plugged anything else into this outlet you'd likely pull too much and blow the fuse. Personally, I recommend running the line to the battery directly to ensure that the ModuLite is receiving the correct amount of power and won't...

  • How to Mount Hollywood Racks Over The Top Bike Rack # HRF2 on 2014 Nissan Rougue
  • There are a few different ways to make the upper connection of the # HRF2, as shown in the photo I've edited for you. If the seam where the hatch meets the roof is metal, the hooks can be used. If the hooks would need to attach to the plastic spoiler, the hatch anchors which would shut in the hatch would be used. The straps can also connect to the side rails or crossbars of a roof rack. This is shown in greater detail in the instructions I've linked to. The hatch should not be opened with...

  • Why Would Holes of Hitch for 2016 Nissan Rogue Not Match Up Perfectly
  • Sometimes hitches can get slightly bent during shipping and this can be fixed by bending the hitch back into place as long as the hitch only has a slight bend to it. If yours isn't lining up I can almost guarantee that is what happened. Some people will use open steps for leverage, vices and even car jacks to apply controlled force to bend the hitch back. You will want to look for flaking paint and physical stress marks on the hitch before and after you attempt to bend the hitch back....

  • Wiring Harness for 2018 Nissan Rogue and Running a Wire to the Battery
  • On your 2018 Nissan Rogue, the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # HM11143645 has a wire that runs to the battery for 2 reasons. The first and main reason is that there is no other source of constant 12v power in the rear of your Nissan. The second is that the powered converter that comes with the wiring harness is designed to reduce strain on your wiring system. This requires it to have a direct power source. If you were to tap into another...

  • Recommended Class III Trailer Hitch for 2018 Nissan Rogue That Doesn't Require Lowering Exhaust
  • The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e98846 does not require the exhaust to be lowered during installation, so it's exactly what you're looking for. I really like the matte black finish on this hitch, so it's going to do a great job of hiding nicks/scratches and dirt, and this is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver like you're seeking. I've linked an installation video of this hitch for you to check out that details the process. I've...

  • Tips for Fitting the 5th Airborne Sidewinder Standard Arm Into the Rotating Turret
  • I actually had the pleasure of fitting these two components together once and found that the fit is very tight. Most important thing to do is use a liberal amount of white lithium grease like part # L11354. I found that once you start the # 5AS16K into the # ST400 the easiest way to make it slide all the way in is to flip the assembly upside down, put blocks underneath the side that's unsupported so that its sits level, and then use a block and hammer to drive the pieces together.

  • How to Replace Thule Locking Cylinders on a Roof Rack
  • When you go to change the lock cylinders on your roof rack to the cylinders of the Thule Locking Cylinders 4 Pack # TH450400 you will insert the included universal change key into an unlocked cylinder that is currently in your roof rack and then remove the cylinder. It may take a little bit of wiggling for the cylinder to work itself loose, but when the change key is inserted into the lock cylinder the cylinder will be free to slide out. Next, you will insert the change key into a cylinder...

  • Is There Any Need to Apply Anti-Corrosive Treatment to Curt Trailer Hitches
  • All of the hitches we offer, those for your 2016 Nissan Rogue and other vehicles too, feature a baked-on finish. All options for your 2016 Nissan Rogue appear on the linked page. This external finish is sometimes applied over an additional anti-corrosive coating. Curt's USA-made hitches like 2-inch Class III model # C13204 and 1-1/4-inch Class II model # C12122 for instance have a baked-on dipped finish that is applied over an anti-corrosive liquid Bonderite base coat. • Does the Rear Panel of a 2015 Nissan Rogue Have to Get Removed to Install Draw Tite Hitch 75902
  • Draw-Tite recommends the removal of the lower panel you referenced when installing the part # 75902, but if you found a way to trim the panel and have it reinstalled that is fine as well. We can't officially recommend that since it's not what Draw Tite recommends. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.

  • How to Remove and Stow the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack
  • That's unusual, in order to stow the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # TH903202 you'd have to: -Loosen the lockable knob, -Pull the pin out, & -Push the small lever on the bottom of the rack and rotate the rack toward your Rogue to give you a bit of leverage and then you can use the grab handles on top to pull it out of the car. From here, all you'd need to do is fold the shank portion into the rack and you're good to go. You can see this being demonstrated starting...

  • The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75902 is a confirmed fit for your 2019 Nissan Rogue. Based on its design, it will not change the tail gate lift sensor. You will still be able to utilize that feature to the left or right of the center receiver tube.

  • Should Anti-Seize Compound be Used When Installing a Hitch?
  • We cannot recommend using anti-seize compound when installing the Draw-Tite # DT85MR on your 2021 Nissan Rogue. Though it is rare, bolts can back out when this is used. Especially when used to attach to something that will vibrate and move around a little when attached to the frame of the vehicle. I know that sounds kind of weird, but hitches are designed to flex a little with the frame of the vehicle when going over bumps or rough roads.

  • Can a Bike Rack be Used on the End of the Surco Cargo Carrier # 52018F
  • You cannot add bike racks to the back of a cargo carrier. I would recommend the # CC-100 carrier and then add the # CC-125 bike adapter to it. Another option, you could add a roof bike rack. If you are interested in some roof mounted cargo carriers or bike racks, let me know and I would be happy to make some recommendations. I would just need the year, make and model of your vehicle and the type of roof rack you have (factory roof rack with crossbars, factory side rails or a bare roof).

  • Does a Wire Have to Be Run to the Battery to Install the Curt Trailer Harness # C56033
  • We understand your laziness, routing a wire from the rear of a vehicle to the battery seems a bit involved considering how easy the rest of the wiring harness part # C56033 install is. But you have to do it. If you don't run the power to the battery you could overdraw the circuit you attach it to and blow the fuse or even potentially damage the circuit. I attached an FAQ article to the right with some tips on routing the power wire that you should find informative.

  • Does 4-Way on 2011 Nissan Rogue Have to Hang Out of Rear Hatch
  • You can install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56033 or T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118480 on your 2011 Nissan Rogue so the connector goes under the vehicle body instead of hanging out the rear hatch. Since the harness does plug in behind the taillights (see accompanying photo) on your Rogue many people store it there for simplicity because you will need to find a way to route the actual connector...
