Expert Answers about Acura RDX

  • Do You Have Any Images Of The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver On a 2019 Acura RDX?
  • While we do not have any images of the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e72AR installed on a 2019 Acura RDX you can see the similar Draw-Tite Receiver # 76268 on the images I have included. One of the images is with it installed on a RDX that had the factory 1-1/4" receiver to show how it fits with the different rear fascia cover. Currently there are no 2" hidden style receivers available which is likely due to there not being enough room to fit with the rear spare tire.

  • Will Trailer Hitch for 2019 Acura RDX Increase Vehicle Towing Capacity
  • The towing capacity of any vehicle is always determined by the lowest-rated component; for your 2019 Acura RDX that would be the 1,500 lbs it is rated for. Even if you install the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 76268, which has a 3,500 lb towing capacity, your '19 RDX will still only have a 1,500 lb capacity. We always recommend adhering to the ratings set forth by the manufacturer so the decision to tow would be entirely up to you. Should you make that decision you will need a ball mount...

  • Will a Relay be Needed to Activate Tow Package on a 2008 Acura RDX
  • If you plan on towing a trailer with your 2008 Acura RDX, then a relay may be needed to activate the towing package on your vehicle. The relay completes the wiring circuit to allow you to install a trailer wiring harness, like part # 56008, to allow you to run power and control trailer lights. The relay can be found at an Acura dealer or maybe at an auto parts store. If you are only needing the Curt Trailer Hitch, # 13536, for an accessory like a bike rack, then you will not need to...

  • Is Acura RDX Vehicle Warranty Affected by Installing Aftermarket Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver
  • Installing a hitch on a vehicle in order to use a 3-bike hitch bike carrier will not void your vehicle's transmission warranty if the hitch is installed in accordance with the written instructions and used within the weight bearing capabilities of the vehicle. Consumers are protected from such concerns by the Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. The Act states, in part, that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty...

  • Keyed Alike Entry Door Locks For an RV and Bluetooth Brake Controller For a 2023 Acura RDX
  • If you are wanting all 3 of the Bauer Products Camper Door Locks # BA54FR to be keyed the same, you will need to purchase 3 of them and select the keyed alike option. This is the only way that we can guarantee that they are all keyed the same. It sounds like you are wanting to use a Bluetooth brake controller because your 2023 Acura RDX does not have a 7-way. But, even the Bluetooth brake controllers like the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller # C51180 still require a 7-way on your RDX. Since...

  • Does Thule Roof Rack on 2017 Acura RDX With Factory Raised Rails Cause Sway
  • Thanks for the photo and the short answer to this is no, the Thule roof rack on your 2017 Acura RDX is not causing sway or any side-to-side movement. It looks like your '17 RDX has the factory raised rails and the Thule Raised Rail Feet # TH710401 and Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711400 or the AeroBlade crossbars. Either way they are aerodynamic bars and there will not be an issue with them causing sway as they are specifically designed for wind resistance. There can be many different...
