  • Installation of Trailier Lighting Connector on a 2009 Nissan Quest
  • Your 2009 Nissan Quest requires a powered converter to protect the vehicles sensitive circuitry form possible overload or shorts. There is a gray power connection in the rear of the vehicle near the taillight connections on the drivers side which will supply power to the trailer taillights. This power wire eliminates the amperage draw on the vehicles taillight system. The best method for installing trailer lighting is to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector...

  • Trouble Aligning Trailer Hitch Holes on a 2016 Nissan Quest
  • The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13078 is indeed a correct fit for your 2016 Nissan Quest. I have taken a look at the photo you attached and it looks like you are using the wrong set of holes. The trailer hitch will need to move back one set of holes which you can see in the attached photo. For reference, the two holes on the bracket are spaced 3.027" apart on center. Please let me know if you still run into issues using the other set of bolt holes. I have attached an install video...

  • Solution for Trailer Hitch Install Bolts that Dont Want to Thread In
  • What you are experiencing is pretty common as the weld nuts on vehicles where hitches install get dirty easily which prevents the hitch hardware from threading in properly. I have included a few links on hitch installation tips, cleaning weld nuts, and a video on cleaning weld nuts for you but basically you need to clean the weld nuts and the correct hardware that you have will thread right in. In most cases going with an M12 X 1.25 thread tap is the easiest and most efficient solution.

  • Can the T-One # 118469 be Installed Without Going Through the Hatch on a 2007 Nissan Quest
  • You could route the 4-Way connector on the T-One # 118469 through the floor of the trunk on your 2007 Nissan Quest. If you use a rubber grommet like part # A55GB and some sealant like the Loctite RTV 598 # LT37467 it would create a seal so you wouldn't have to worry about having an opening in your floor. Sometimes there is already an existing grommet in which case you would simply cut a slit in it for the 4-Way. To keep your 4-Way secure I recommend using the Mounting Bracket # 18144...

  • Installing Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs on 2005 Nissan Quest
  • We have not yet had a chance to install the Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs # AL60806 on the Nissan Quest so unfortunately we do not have an install video available. These springs though are confirmed to fit your 2005 model Quest and will simply mount inside the rear coil spring suspension. I have attached images of the installation steps for this kit that you can take a look at so you can see exactly what the process entails.

  • To install a brake controller like the Tekonsha PowerTrac Electronic Brake Controller # 39523, you will need something like Universal Wiring Harness # 20127 and our Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. Thank you for previously purchasing your 4-Pole trailer connector from etrailer.com. The # ETBC7 includes a 4- and 7-Way trailer connector that will install into the 4-Pole connector already on your 2015 Nissan Quest. The hardware and wiring needed to make the...

  • Wiring Diagram for the Curt Trailer Wiring Harness Part # C56175
  • I really wish I had a diagram specific to your 2004 Nissan Quest that shows how it would install, but the best I can do is show you a diagram that shows you what circuits the Curt Harness part # C56175 would wire to. You will need to use the included circuit tester to determine the functions of all of the taillight circuits and then wire them accordingly. I also attached a copy of the installation instructions for this harness for you to check out.

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Hitch That Does Not Line Up to Bolt Holes on Nissan Quest
  • The issue you described when trying to install the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch # 75714 on your Nissan Quest actually isn't terribly uncommon. Because trailer hitch mounting brackets are made from mild steel (which allows them to flex with the vehicle's frame during travel) the hitch can sometimes bend/flex during the shipping process. The bend can be just enough to prevent the brackets from lining up perfectly with existing holes on the vehicle's frame. There are a few different...

  • Does Exhaust of a 2000 Nissan Quest Need to Be Lowered for Hitch Install
  • To install the Curt hitch part # C13572 on your 2000 Nissan Quest you will need to temporarily lower the exhaust. This is a pretty standard step for most trailer hitch installs. If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. If the ball...

  • In What Order Should You Load Bikes On The Swagman XTC2 TILT Bike Rack
  • You always want to load the heavier of your 2 bikes first and closet to the vehicle on the Swagman XTC2 TILT Bike Rack # S64671 or any other hitch mounted bike rack. This will keep the weight as close to the vehicle as possible and reduce the leverage effect which can cause some damage to the receiver or bike rack.

  • Solution for Needing to Power Trailer Wiring Converter Box and 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of 7-Way
  • You would not be able to share the power wire of the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56342 for also powering the 12 volt accessory of a 7-way like the part # 37185. But I have a similar solution that would be just as easy. Instead you'd want to run the double bonded wire part # 10-2-1 (sold by the foot) to the battery of the vehicle and then attach both leads to the battery post and you'll essentially have run "one" wire to power both the converter of the 4-way and the 12 volt...

  • Hard to Remove Tail Light Assemblies to Install Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2012 Nissan Quest
  • We do have a video showing installation of a different brand wiring harness on a 2015 Nissan Quest that should help. I have included a link to it for you. Our installer also had a little trouble with the tail light assembly and it is covered very early in the video. For the rest of the video installation is the same as it is for wiring harness # 118547.
