The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" # C12239 is a confirmed fit for the 2005 Buick Lacrosse. You will use a fishwire to move the carriage bolts and spacers though the access holes in the frame rails to their location. There is a template for drilling two 1/2 inch holes in the side of the frame rails. Then you just will torque the bolts to specs. I've attached the instructions to assist. view full answer...
The installation bolts for the Curt Trailer Hitch # C12115 that you referenced do go through the frame rails. To get the bolts through the frame they will need to be fishwired into place. You would not need access anything from the trunk of your 2011 Buick LaCrosse.
I attached an FAQ video on fishwiring for you to check out. I also attached a copy of the installation sheet for this hitch for you to check out. view full answer...
We certainly have aftermarket backup cameras that could be installed on your 2013 Buick LaCrosse. The aftermarket cameras will cosmetically look different than the factory cameras and will use a separate screen from the one already in the LaCrosse.
I have attached an installation video of the backup camera you referenced, the Hopkins Rear View Camera with Backup Sensors # HM60195VA, on a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu for you to have an idea of the installation process.

If you have a hitch-mounted bike rack like the Curt 2 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # C18085 with a 2-inch sleeve, it will not make any noticeable difference as far as wobble if you get a hitch specially designed to only fit your 1-1/4 inch hitch (without the adapter sleeve). One of the great features of the Curt 2 rack is that it comes with a anti-wobble hitch pin that reduces movement and noise in the hitch. This hitch pin offers extra support to your hitch when installed in your... view full answer...
Some companies prefer to be more cautious with their product ratings than others. Curt requires the use of stabilization straps, # 18050, on all of their Class I and II trailer hitches, regardless of tongue weight capacity, in accordance with their warranty requirements. The Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch trailer hitches do not require a strap, but a strap can still be used and would not be a bad idea in any application using a larger bike rack.
I would recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch, #... view full answer...
For the Curt Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C12115, there is no heat shield trimming. But you will need to trim a small section of the fascia on each side of the vehicle. Take a look at the instructions linked to the right for more details. view full answer...
If the part of your 2011 Buick LaCrosse that your Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1515 installs on keeps coming loose, I definitely recommend taking off the front fascia and torquing them down.
Any loose hardware that is involved in a towing application, like flat towing, should always be torqued to specs.
If you have difficulty reaching these bolts then it is worth taking your vehicle to the shop and have them take a look as opposed to driving down the highway and some damage happen to your... view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Receiver Hitch, part # 36652 for your 2017 Buick LaCrosse does require some fascia trimming, but the 5" x 6" area is located on the portion of the bumper fascia that's tucked on the underside of the vehicle, so it won't be visible.
As outlined in the attached installation instructions, you will need to temporarily remove the bumper fascia by first removing the license plate and taillights, so you can gain access to the last two fascia tabs that hold it in place.

It sounds like you are trying to connect the running light circuit wire of the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness # C58044 to your 2006 Buick LaCrosse. It would not matter which of the tail light wires you use for this installation. Both wires carry the same circuit. view full answer...
There are a few methods that people use when they need to run a power wire from the vehicle battery to the rear of the vehicle. One method involves routing the wire as much as possible through the frame. What you would need to do first is determine if the frame has a hole in which a wire can be run and if there is space enough for it.
You would need a long rigid and skinny object, like a coat hanger to run through the frame, tie off the wire to it, and then pull it back through. This... view full answer...
The rear fascia trimming may be required when installing the Curt Class II 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # 12239, on a 2008 Buick LaCrosse Super. The Super model is the higher-performance model of the standard LaCrosse sedan. It has a rear fascia that extends farther down than the standard LaCrosse rear fascia.
The standard Buick LaCrosse does not need to have any of the rear fascia trimmed.
The installation instructions on the # 12239 hitch say it may require trimming on the LaCrosse Super... view full answer...
To install the Hopkins Rear View Camera with Backup Sensors, part # HM60195VA, to your 2011 Buick LaCrosse you will need to use a circuit tester, part # PTW2993, to test the functions of the vehicles wires to determine which one carries the reverse lights.
The wiring color for vehicles can vary from different makes, models, and model years. To be absolutely certain which function each wire carries, you will want to use the circuit tester.

According to my contact at Kat's Heaters, you'll be looking for a core plug opening on the rear of the engine block, located on the driver's side. The heater is not actually immersed in the anti-freeze, it will fit into a cavity in the engine block and will heat the surrounding metal of the engine block, acting much like a radiator. The cavity you're looking for is just under an inch in diameter (.885 of an inch, to be exact). Because there's not much room between the rear of the engine... view full answer...
I believe that your 2013 Buick Lacrosse built in June of 2013 would be after the mid year model change so you would use bolt on bracket 2. But once you have the hitch held up in place it should be obvious which one you will need given the different shapes of the two possibilities. view full answer...
