If your Hummer has the tow package, you can use the Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connector, part # 30955. This connector would plug into a socket located below the cargo area. This connector can accommodate either a 4 or a 7-way trailer connector.

If you don't have room installing the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 near the emergency brake pedal, I recommend trying lower to offer emergency brake pedal clearance. If it still won't work then it is recommended to install on the console side of the passenger seat in a similar way with the sticker facing the passenger and the switch facing the rear of the vehicle. Typically, the brake signal wire and 12V power wire should be in the same bundle of wires where you found the turn signal wires, ground, and running light wires. They may not be blue and black in color, but you can use a circuit tester, # PTW2993, to test for the functions of the wires. The best way to determine what functions each of those wires on your 2008 Hummer H3 carries is to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2992 and check to see what each wire does. I tried looking up what functions they might carry but the only thing that seemed to be consistent is that the orange wire has constant 12V power to it.
