Installation Instructions for Prodigy P2 Brake Controller on a 2008 Hummer H3
Question:
Looking to install a break controller on a Hummer H3 2008, using the Prodigy P2. I noticed in one of the questions there was a 2007 Hummer that you sent instructions to. Do you have a wire diagram and instructions for the 2008? Thank you

I have attached the instructions that you are referring to for the Prodigy P2 # 90885 but they are no different than what you received with your unit. They are generic instructions and while we don't have exact instructions for your 2008 Hummer H3 (with the location of the wires or diagrams) I can still assist you with your installation.
If you have the factory 7-Way on your Hummer then you should find a bundle of wires up under the driver's side of your dash. You can test the wires with a circuit tester, like part # PTW2992, and then connect the wiring from the pigtail that came with the P2 as follows:
Blue - 7-Way Output to Trailer
Black - 12V Power
White - Ground
Red - COLD Side of Stop Light Switch (only gets hot when brake pedal is pressed)
If you don't have the factory 7-Way on your Hummer then you need to install a 4-Way like part # 18252 as well as the wiring kit # ETBC7. I have attached instructions for both of these kits as well. With this option you will be hardwiring everything.
Let me know if you have any additional questions and I can help you out further.
