Use a circuit tester and go to the plug on the vehicle that you connected the harness to. Disconnect the trailer harness. Look at the picture I have linked below. In the picture, the pin on the top left corner should be the left blinker pin.

There are two things that may help to solve your predicament.
The easier one is the converter. The converter that you used, part # 118158, is not compatible with LED lights. So, even if the wires all lined up where they needed to go, it wouldn't have worked anyway. We don't currently carry a 2-to-3 converter compatible with LEDs.

Regarding the endcaps popping out on your Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - 49" # RRVA126B-2, this is not a common occurrence and I have not heard of this happening before. Make sure the rubber strip, or anything else for that matter, is not getting caught between the crossbar and endcap. I have a couple things you can try to resolve the streaking issue you are having with the Scrubblade Wipers # SC94FR and # SC77FR. First you will want to ensure your windshield is clean and does not use any repellants such as Rain-X or ceramic coatings. It sounds like the converter box is not stopping the power coming from the vehicle to the trailer. I suggest checking your trailer wiring on any of the trailers you have connected wiring to before you pull them again. Bad trailer wiring is typically what will cause the malfunction.
