A breakaway system is not required when using the Roadmaster Tow Dolly. And yes, there would definitely be a risk of the towed car jackknifing if the dolly brakes engaged after the trailer decoupling. The rear of the towed car could come around sideways and make a bad situation worse.

The factory jounce bumpers will not be reinstalled when installing the Air Lift # AL57344 on a 2012 F-53 Newmar Baystar. So there really is no need to save the factory jounce. Sometimes if there is a bolt holding the factory jounce on you will want to keep the bolt. I do have a longer ball mount for you. The Curt Ball Mount with a 4" Rise and 6" Drop # D-28 is 14-1/4" long from the center of the pin hole to the center of the ball hole. Unfortunately, we don't offer a front mount receiver for the Ford F-53 chassis. Your best bet would be to use the rear hitch, if possible. If you're flat towing a vehicle, you can use a dual hitch adapter like # RM-077-6 which has a 400 lb tongue weight capacity, but be aware that the adapter is NOT designed for towing a trailer, only for flat towing a vehicle which doesn't apply any tongue load to the hitch.
