I reached out to my contact at Lippert who said that if you keep getting a fuse that blows when everything is connected for your Kwikee 39 Series Steps then something is going on with your wiring. You either have a damaged (pinched or exposed wire) or a loose connection somewhere. Try checking visually to see if there is anything that is damaged first. I have attached a diagram that you can check out to make sure everything is connected properly.
The only other thing that I've seen people... view full answer...
I've had some come out of the box with the rubber boot twisted up but from how you're talking about it makes me believe it's a bit more than normal and that the locknuts of the Exact Center weren't tightened fully and with the road vibration could have shifted causing the boot to twist. The boot just slips on over both rods so it technically shouldn't be twisted up at all. I recommend making sure the locknut is fully tightened up against the eyelets on each end to ensure that the rods can't... view full answer...
It sounds like your Char Broil Grill2Go grill has a 1 lb propane tank fitting which is also known as a disposable cylinder fitting (see attached picture). If this is the case then the MB Sturgis Quick Disconnect Propane Hose # 100476-72-MBS should fit properly as that center pin you are talking about is a propane standard and they don't make longer or shorter ones.
I would start off by checking to make sure your disposable cylinder fitting on your grill isn't damaged. If that looks good... view full answer...
Thank you so much for your purchase directly from etrailer.com of the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885. If fuses are blowing when using the manual override that probably means there is a spike in voltage on the brake control wire. Unplug the unit and check for any bent pins on the controller. Also inspect the factory wiring for any exposed or damages sections that might be causing the short, as that can lead to the voltage spike as well. view full answer...
If your Tiffin Open Road Allegro 32SA had alignment issues already then yes, you should go ahead and get it aligned. Roadmaster says to ensure that there are no existing steering issues with the vehicle and to correct them prior to installation.
Once it is aligned you will need to make adjustments to the Exact Center # RM82RR. If it is pulling left you can correct it by lengthening the unit and if it is pulling right you can correct it by shortening. You might also see if the shop that... view full answer...
First make sure the replacement wiring adapter you are using is wired correctly for your Voyager brake controller and your Ford F-53-based RV. The correct Tekonsha harness for your F-53 is part # 3035-P.
The Voyager # 39510 will not light up unless a trailer is connected. When it senses the brake circuit from a connected trailer the LED light will turn green. This is simulated in the linked demo video.
The Voyager will not send an output signal (for your tester to detect) unless the vehicle... view full answer...
It sounds like you are testing the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160 with the brake pedal in your vehicle. Since the Primus IQ is a proportional brake controller that senses how much your vehicle is decelerating it will not be sending out power to your trailer when you are sitting still.
To ensure that power is getting back to your trailer brakes what you need to do is set the power output on the brake controller to max and then use the manual override lever to send power back to the brakes.... view full answer...
Lifting the vehicle off the ground by frame and having the axle hang so that the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSF-171-40-2 are stretched will not be a problem. These are incredibly resilient and can handle quite a bit of stretching and squishing. view full answer...
I contacted my rep at Yakima and he told me that sometimes the red locking handle will become loose on the locking cam.
They suggested to take all the tension off the carrier and before reattaching and setting the lock, you should turn the red handle a few times before you set the latch to the locking position. As you are turning that handle clockwise, you should feel tension begin to build up then lock the cam. This should eliminate the lock from coming free. view full answer...
Your 1998 Holiday Rambler shouldn't require a special converter but if the installation was completed per the instructions and this is the second unpowered converter that you have tried, I recommend trying a powered converter with circuit protection like the Tekonsha, # 119250KIT. With a powered converter the power is drawn directly from the vehicle's battery which virtually eliminates any draw on the taillight circuit. view full answer...
