Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 1998 Holiday Rambler

Question:

I have a 98 holiday rambler on ford f53 , trying to hook up towing lights, coach has separate stop and turn light , towing has combination stop and turn. I hookup lights and tail light only works . test when unhooked with test light and all is ok , replaced converter unpowered with same and still nothing, all grounds are good, My question is does this unit take a special converter ? any help is appreciated, thanks

Your 1998 Holiday Rambler shouldn't require a special converter but if the installation was completed per the instructions and this is the second unpowered converter that you have tried, I recommend trying a powered converter with circuit protection like the Tekonsha, # 119250KIT. With a powered converter the power is drawn directly from the vehicle's battery which virtually eliminates any draw on the taillight circuit.
