Bearing protectors like Bearing Buddies are a very tight fit in a hub. If you cannot wiggle it out by hand then using a rubber mallet and tapping it (not hard but firm) first on the left, then the right, then the top, then the bottom, then repeat, will help loosen it up so you can pull it off.

It sounds like on your 2011 Chevy Camaro you will have to enlarge the high hole diameter using a round file so that the hitch fits over and around the vehicle weldnuts. This is mentioned in the instructions for trailer hitch # 24850 which I have linked for reference.

1. Raise trailer and jack up the axle to release pressure on the springs.
2. Remove old u-bolts and tie plate.
3. Install new tie plate with the longer side facing outward and torque the u-bolts to the specs in the instructions. NOTE: Do NOT reuse old components.
