  • How Does the Putco Punch Stainless Steel Grille Insert Install on a 2002 Chevy Avalanche
  • Grille insert # P84126 will fit over the existing grille on your 2002 Chevy Avalanche. It uses the hardware pictured. Bascially, you will put the insert in position. The U-shaped clamps will go around the back of the factory grille and you will use the long screws and allen key in the per-existing locations on the insert to essentially clamp the new insert to the factory grille. It will probably take you 15 to 30 minutes.

  • Will the K-Source Vision System Block License Plate Information from Being Seen
  • I attached a picture that shows how much of a license plate the part # KSVS-8 would take up. But you should note that the angle of the picture makes the camera look like it take up more of the plate that it actually does. The best recommendation I can do is for you to compare the attached picture to the plates of your vehicle so that you can determine if any info on the plate would get covered. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.

  • Is Curt Class V Trailer Hitch Safe to Use on 2003 Chevy Avalanche Since it Doesn't Attach to Bumper
  • Your standard grade 5 half inch coarse threaded bolt has a clamping force of around 9,000 or more pound force and a 1/2 inch grade 5 coarse threaded bolt has a tensile strength of 120,000 pounds per square inch. This means one 1/2 inch grade 5 coarse thread bolt has the potential shear strength of 72,000 pounds per square inch. There are 4 of these bolts plus 2 already on the 2003 Avalanche that will be reused to install hitch # C15324. What all of this means is that the method and location...

  • Installing Aries Oval Nerf Bars On A 2002 Chevy Avalanche Z71 With Clad Moldings
  • I took a look at the installation manual for your Aries Oval Nerf Bars w/ Custom Installation Kit - 6" Wide - Black Aluminum - 91" Long, part # AA4445003. It seems like the adjacent small hole was only used to align the clip you are supposed to insert. I would continue with the installation as if the hole was there. With regards to whether the brackets will fit with the clad moldings, the Aries representative said it will fit. I will defer to their expertise.

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler and Locating Transmission Return Line on 2007 Chevy Avalanche
  • The return line is typically the bottom line, but you should confirm by doing the following. Start cold engine, place the transmission in drive for about 10 seconds, then shift back to park and shut motor off. Then, feel the upper and lower transmission lines. One line should be noticeably cooler than the other. The cooler of the two lines would be the return. Since you cannot over cool a transmission, we recommend choosing the largest cooler that will fit into the space available....

  • Does Breakaway Kit Cause Backfeeding on Brake Controller Wiring
  • Since breakaway kits attach to only the 12 volt accessory circuit of the trailer wiring under normal circumstances and not the brake controller output circuit like what the brake controller is connected to there would be no backfeeding issue. In the event of the breakaway kit getting activated and it putting 12 volts on the brake output circuit the trailer wiring would be at that point disconnected from the vehicle so again there wouldn't be any backfeeding. Also 12 volts on the output...

  • How to Remove Flush Mount Taillights and Grommets in a Square Tube Snowmobile Trailer Frame
  • It sounds like your trailer has the 6-1/2 inch Oval stop turn and tail lamps and some side marker lamps that use a rubber grommet like the 6-1/2 inch oval tail lights grommet, # A70GB. Since the area where your lights are mounted is not accessible from the back side, you will need to pry the light out of the front of the grommet with a small screwdriver or other similar tool. If you could find a plastic pry tool that might work better and keep you from damaging the rubber grommet. Another...

  • Brake Controller Installation 2004 Chevy Avalanche
  • Your Avalanche should be prewired for a brake controller. Check the fuse panel in the engine compartment. Remove the outer and the inner fuse box cover, and on the inboard side of the fuse box, you'll see two threaded studs. The stud closest to the rear of the vehicle powers the brake controller, there should be a 30A fuse installed next to it. The stud closest to the front of the vehicle powers the 12V feed to the trailer connector. There should be a 40A fuse installed next to it. If the...
