Wire Colors of Tekonsha Brake Controller to Wire to Truck
Question:
My tekonsha controller has wires but no plug. do the wires match color to color with the OEM harness?

The Tekonsha brake controller wire colors by function are white for ground, black for 12 volt power, blue for output, and red for stoplight circuit. The wiring of your 2006 Avalanche should be labelled and you'd need to wire by function and not color.
