Stoplight Circuit Wire Color to Install a Brake Controller in a 2008 Chevy Avalanche
Question:
We are iinstalling a brake control on a 2008 chevy avalanche pre wired under dash with four wires, the sense wire blue/white stripe wire has power all the time, not when the brake pedal is depressed, we cannot find any wires on the cold side of the brake switch to tap into, any suggestions

The stoplight switch wire should be a light blue wire on your 2008 Chevy Avalanche. This would get run to the black wire of the brake controller. This wire would be in the pre wired bundle of your vehicle and would not require you to tap into the brake pedal wiring.
The red wire on your vehicle should be the 12 volt power circuit and would get run to the black wire of the controller.
Black wire from vehicle would get run to the white of the controller.
The dark blue wire from the controller gets run to the blue wire of the controller.
