For lighter duty vehicles like your 1994 Suzuki Sidekick there are only 1-1/4 inch hitches available like the Curt part # 11128. The larger 2 inch size is only seen on heavier duty vehicles like trucks and SUVs. You'd need a new bike rack that fits the 2 inch hitch size basically like the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider # HR200Z. view full answer...
One thing to keep in mind when using a hitch extender like part # HE18 is that the overall weight capacity of your trailer hitch will be reduced by 50 percent due to the additional leverage that is applied by the hitch mounted accessory sitting further away from the trailer hitch.
If you have a class II or class III hitch on your 2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara, then the tongue weight capacity of your hitch is most likely 350 lbs. When you use a hitch extend it will be reduced to 175 lbs. The... view full answer...
Your Convert-a-Ball 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5G can be locked with a padlock like our part # ML4140LH.
You'd pass the shackle of the lock through the locking handle slot and out the hole in the foot of the coupler. This prevents the coupler from being opened, so it can be used while the trailer is hitched or when it's not. Either way, the lock will help deter theft by making it difficult to unlock the coupler. view full answer...
I read up on the Surly Big Dummy, and found that the wheelbase is up to 58 inches for the large model, which would be accommodated by a regular sized platform bike rack like the Hollywood Racks # HR1450Z. view full answer...
According to Roadmaster, the correct base plate kit is part # 521020-1B, unless it has a brush guard.
To complete your flat towing system, you'll also need a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring solution, a supplemental braking system and possibly a high/low adapter if the height difference between the motorhome and base plates is greater than 3 inches.
I've linked you to some helpful articles about flat towing. view full answer...
From the research I did it looks like you have a separate tail light circuit. Which means your turn signals and brake lights are carried on separate circuits. The easiest way to install diodes on your setup would be to use 4 diodes and have it so that the tail lights of your 1991 Suzuki Samarai will operate as a combined circuit, so basically your current brake lights will perform the turn signal and brake light functions.
Check out the picture I attached that shows how the 4 diodes of... view full answer...
I wish I could say yes it would work, but we can't recommend mixing the wiring kits from winch manufacturers. You'll have to use all of the wiring and components that come with the Superwinch LT3000ATV Winch # SW1130220 when you install it on your vehicle. view full answer...
For a Blue Ox base plate kit for your 1999 Suzuki Esteem you would want the part # BX3512. This would work well with the Blue Ox Acclaim part # BX4330 with the that you are also considering. This tow bar comes with safety cables.
For lighting you can use the bulb and socket kit, # RM-155, and not have to worry about cutting and splicing into the vehicle wiring.
And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and... view full answer...
The roof rack I recommend for your 2007 Grand Vitara is the thule AeroBlade roof rack. This roof rack features low-profile crossbars that are very quiet. The roof rack has a weight capacity of 165 lbs. To order this roof rack you will need part # TH7601B, part # TH7601B, and part # THKIT3024.
The kayak carrier I recommend is the Thule Stacker # TH830. This carrier lets you carry two kayaks on their side at the same time. This comes with one pair of ratcheting tie-downs, two straps, and... view full answer...
For a Class I hitch like the part # C11443 which is what you'd have installed on your 2007 Suzuki SX4 you are putting quite a bit of leverage on it with a hitch adapter/riser. You most likely are straining the hitch beyond what it can safely handle too which is asking for trouble. The sag you mentioned is a good indicator of that.
Your best option is a cargo carrier that fits the hitch without the use of an adapter like the # C18145. You would also need a stabilizer strap # 18050, this... view full answer...
For a hitch on your 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara I recommend the Draw-Tite # 75448, which is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver and is a complete bolt-on installation so there is not going to be any drilling into your Suzuki's frame required. To add a 4-way to power your trailer's lights you'll need the T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # 56002.
For towing, I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with... view full answer...
If you click on the provided link, you can see which of our trunk mounted bike racks are a confirmed fit for your 2009 Suzuki SX4 Crossover.
As you might notice, Yakima and Thule disagree on the advisability of carrying three bikes on the hatchback model of the SX4, which is not uncommon. In a situation like that, I typically advise people go the safe route and stick to using a rack with a 2 bike capacity.
Of the racks listed, I can highly recommend the Thule OutWay, part # TH45JV. Trunk... view full answer...
Inno offers an square-bar roof rack option for your 1997 Suzuki Sidekick that would consist of the following parts:
46 inch square load bars, part # INB117
Roof rack feet, part # INSUT
Vehicle specific fit kit, part # INK186
You might also consider a fairing, part # INA261. The fairing will help quiet the noise caused by the wind hitting the crossbars.
I'm not certain what the indentations you describe are used for, but the rack I've recommended uses the inside tops of the door frames... view full answer...
