Every running board is going to attach using bolts and body brackets so the only way around that is if you take the running board to a weld stop and have them weld the boards to the brackets and then to the frame of your 2021 Nissan Frontier, which would be even harder to remove if your chose to.

If you wanted to make your own I don't see any issue with this just keep in mind you'd also need longer bolts.
