Hi David,
The Sliding Under Platform Pontoon Boat Ladder # JIF55VR can be installed pretty much anywhere on the boat as long as there's enough space so you can definitely install it on the front of your pontoon. This ladder requires a 17-3/8" long x 12-3/4" wide spacing for the mounting bracket. view full answer...
The only thing that will be perminatley installed when using the Brophy Camper Scissor Steps # AS24 is the bracket that connects to the top of the steps. This only requires 4 screws and is not that big of a bracket. These steps are intended for use with a camper or at least with something that will allow the bottom step to rest on the ground. I do not see this working that well with your boat.
I remember getting up on ladders on a pontoon and the ladder always want to slide under the... view full answer...
The Jif Marine Sliding Under Platform Pontoon Boat Ladder # 315-FOG3 will definitely work as a ship to shore option. With its 34 1/2 inch extended height and 400 pound capacity, this is a very versatile ladder. Another very nice feature is that is slides away when not in use, reducing the footprint it takes up. view full answer...

Alright, I think we can help you out here with your questions regarding the Jif Marine pontoon boat ladders; first, let's start with the correct part numbers for the 4- and 5-step ladders so we're on the same page in that regard, and then I'll go over your questions one by one:

It is possible that the Jif Marine Folding Pontoon Ladder - 5 Steps - 54-1/2" Tall - 300 lbs - Aluminum # JIF48FR you were looking at will work on your 1974 Tahiti Tiger 18' Bubble Jet Boat, but it was really designed for pontoon boats.
You will need to verify that the hull and rails of your boat are reinforced enough to support the stress of the ladder.
I included a video of the # JIF48FR for you to take a look at. view full answer...
The Jif Marine Folding Pontoon Ladder # JIF48FR you will want to angle away from the boat making it easier to both climb up and down. While there is not an exact measurement that I can give you to drill the holes away from the edge of the boat you will want to place them on your boat to find the exact spot for your holes. This is due to the bottom support legs will not being flush with the edge of the boat and as all boats don't have the same overhang you will want to verify their placement... view full answer...
The angle of the Jif Marine Telescoping Drop Ladder with Hand Grips # 315-EQB4 is designed to make it easier to get up the ladder. Often times the rear of the boat will sit lower in the water while stationary. If the ladder were to be straight down the steps of the ladder would have you almost climbing backwards as you ascend the ladder. I realize that when seeing the ladder on the trailer the angle is more than what would be desired but in the water it will make boarding the boat much easier. view full answer...
It is likely that your 12 foot aluminum boat will fit between the load stops on the Erickson ladder rack # EM07706. The crossbars on this rack are 78 inches long and you could mount the load stops on the outside of the ladder rack uprights for even more adjustability. Take a look at the video I have linked showing the rack on a 2013 F-150.
Technically you could put anything on the Erickson truck bed ladder rack # EM07706 as long as it is within the 800 pound weight capacity and the load... view full answer...
In regards to installing the Sliding Under Platform Pontoon Boat Ladder part # 315-FOG3, this will be pretty straight forward. Position the unit where you would like to install it, mark the hole in the flange, drill out the holes, then secure the steps using hardware you provide. I recommend stainless steel hardware. If you like, you can use carriage bolts and place them through the top of the floor so that you don't have to worry about sharp points. That said, hex bolts will work as well.... view full answer...

The mounting holes of the Jif Marine Telescoping Boat Stern Ladder # JIF35FR are 8mm in diameter. The type of screw you would use for these holes depends on the application.
If you were just screwing it into the fiberglass/plastic/etc. portion of the boat you can use 1" round-head #8 square drive screws.
If you're screwing into metal then you can use 2" x 3/16" stainless steel self-tapping screws. view full answer...

- Jif Marine Underdeck Pontoon Ladder for Flat Decks - 4 Steps - 48" Tall # JIF45FR view full answer...
