The mounting holes of the Jif Marine Telescoping Boat Stern Ladder # JIF35FR are 8mm in diameter. The type of screw you would use for these holes depends on the application.

If you were just screwing it into the fiberglass/plastic/etc. portion of the boat you can use 1" round-head #8 square drive screws.

If you're screwing into metal then you can use 2" x 3/16" stainless steel self-tapping screws.
