The highest capacity hitch we have for your car is the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C11576 you were looking at. This is a class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver. It has a 2,000 lbs towing capacity and a 200 lbs maximum tongue weight.

To add a hitch with a 2" receiver to your 2024 Acura MDX, I recommend the etrailer item # e27KR. This hitch has a 900 lbs maximum tongue weight so it will work great with your Thule bike rack. I really like the way it installs too. The only portion of it you will see is the 2" receiver.

The only puck system available for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 is the OEM puck system which is only available from Chevy. It is not available aftermarket. We do have options for both fifth wheel and gooseneck mounts, but nothing quite like the OEM puck system.

The converter basically serves to protect the wiring on your vehicle. It is circuit-protected, and battery powered which allows for virtually zero draw on the vehicles tail light circuits. Since you haven't finished calibrating the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED63RR yet it won't be solid blue right away. Once you calibrate it will be on all the time if you are in proportional mode. As for the best method there isn't one; you can with or without a trailer attached like you mentioned and it truly won't make any difference at all.
