  • Troubleshooting Pin Box To Tailgate Clearance Issues When Using A Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch
  • Moving your B&W Companion Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch to the rear most position will unfortunately place it closer to your tailgate. Since you have a shorter bed the slider is designed to add clearance from the cab but that will unfortunately cut out clearance from your tailgate. Most people who have this issue either leave their tailgate open when making tight turns, swap it out with a net like the # TR-03, or swap it out with a 5th wheel tailgate like the # VGM-07-100 that has a cutout for...

  • 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 Replacement for Bumper 7-Way Trailer Socket
  • Since the in-bed 7-Way is working on your 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 it sounds like you need to simply replace the 7-Way at your bumper. If the bumper 7-Way had a bad ground it would be causing more issues than just the running lights to not work. You can try locating the ground near your bumper and just make sure it's secured to a clean, bare-metal surface just to make sure, but you should just need to replace your OEM connector with the Hopkins # HM40975 and that will take care of your issue!

  • Troubleshooting 5th Wheel Trailer Lights Not Working When Connected to 2017 GMC Sierra 3500
  • You can definitely start by checking the fuses in the fuse block located in the engine compartment of your 2017 GMC Sierra 3500. These should be the fuses in the 14 (left turn/stop), 15 (running lights), 16 (reverse lights), and 17 (right turn/stop) locations. If those look good then the next step to take is to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2992 to make sure that all of the functions on the 7-Way of your Sierra are working properly (see attached photo). Since you have a new pickup...

  • Why Is Curt PowerRide 5th Wheel Hitch Making Clank Noise When Taking Off From Stop?
  • I haven't run into this issue before with the Curt PowerRide # C36WR but my contact at Curt has and here's what he had to say: "Sound like the king pin on the trailer moving with in the jaws which is normal. Adjusting the brake controller can help some of the issue."

  • Troubleshooting Integrated Trailer Brake Controller 2020 GMC Sierra 3500 w/ Electric Over Hydraulic
  • It sounds like you may have a programming issue with the factory controller on your 2020 GMC Sierra 3500HD. You will want to take your Sierra to your GMC dealer to have them verify the programming for the controller and add any updates which may be required. The Hydrastar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Adapter Module # HBA-CAM is only designed to adapt the braking profile some integrated brake controllers have which only work on electric trailer brakes. While it does not appear your...

  • Troubleshooting Snowmobile Trailer Brakes That Lock Up When Trailer is Connected to Tow Vehicle
  • If the brakes on your snowmobile trailer activate and stay locked up when you connect to your 2018 GMC Sierra 3500 then that should actually be a pretty easy fix. The pin in the 1 o'clock position on your Sierra will carry your 12V power which should be constant power (at least with the ignition on). What I believe is going on is that the brakes on your snowmobile trailer are connected to the corresponding pin on your trailer side connector. Try verifying this by taking a 12V battery...

  • Troubleshooting Clunking Noise On Demco 21K Autoslide 5TH Wheel Hitch after Installing GM Adapters
  • It sounds like there is an issue with the fitment of the Side Plates # DM49GV in the bed mounts on your 2020 GMC Sierra 2500. The cams may have loosened on the arm which would cause play between the bed mounts and the hitch adapters. It would not make sense the plates are clunking between the Hitch # DM8550035 since they are bolted together and should not have play in them. Please inspect the cams for play and let me know what you find.

  • Why Are Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Front Jacks At Different Heights
  • Thanks for reaching out about your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 # LC358590! What exactly is the level situation you're using this under? If the right front jack has to be extended further out for your 5th wheel to be level but then you're manually retracting both front jacks at the same time then it just stands to reason that the right jack would still need to be retracted after the left jack is seated. If you can give me a little more insight into the level situation and if you're getting...

  • Can I Use Penetrating Oil on a B&W Turnoverball with a Stuck Latch Handle
  • In most cases B&W doesn't recommend using any type of lubricant on the spring and latch on your Turnoverball # BWGNRK1016 as it will only attract dirt and moisture on that spring; however in this case you can use some penetrating oil on the ball and the latch to try to loosen everything up. My contact over at B&W mentioned that typically full engagement, if done periodically, would be enough to knock off most of the rust that would be forming. As I mentioned, you can use some penetrating...

  • Solution For Bed Bolt That Doesn't Want To Tighten After Installing TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs
  • Glad to hear most of the installation of your TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TLC2225 went well, however to fix the issue you're having I recommend re-tapping the threads for your bed bolt as they may be worn or stripped out. To further secure the bolt into it's spot you can also use some thread locker like: -Loctite Threadlocker 262 - High Strength - Up to 3/4" Nuts/Bolts # LT37420. I've also included an installation video for you to check out as well.

  • Troubleshooting 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 HD with Intermittent Connection to Trailer Issue
  • Integrated brake controllers are really picky about what trailer brakes they will work with and sometimes there's no real rhyme or reason to why they don't work. Normally it is the EOH setups so I am a little surprised you are having an issue with your electric brakes. It could be simply an odd short on the brake output circuit that is causing the error or even just corrosion on the pins of the trailer connectors which is a really easy fix with sandpaper. The Redarc Tow Pro Elite part...

  • 2021 GMC Sierra LED Turn Signals Are Hyperflashing
  • It sounds like you have a common phenomenon known as "hyperflashing" occurring on your truck. The reason your LED lights are flashing is because the LED lights draw such little power that your turn signal relay sees the bulbs being out. The Load Resistor Kit # DI34ZR will mitigate this issue by installing these inline with your factory wiring. To correct your turn signals on your 2021 GMC Sierra 3500, I recommend installing the Load Resistor Kit for LED Turn Signals # DI34ZR.

  • Middle Jacks Will Not Fully Extend on Lippert Ground Control 2.0 6-Point System
  • It sounds like you just need to reset the zero point. In order to do this you will need to follow the steps I have attached for you below and in the photo. If this does not fix your issue then please just let me know and I will see if we have any other actions for you to preform. 1. Manually run the jacks to level the unit. This is best achieved by placing a level in the center of the unit and leveling it both front to back and then side to side. 2. Once the unit is level, turn off the...

  • Troubleshooting Remote Not Working With Fan-Tastic Roof Vent 7350
  • Since you held down the arrows I'll assume you did it a foot away from the # FV807350. The Auto and Manual lights should begin flashing immediately, followed by all seven LED's flash once. This indicates it is programmed. You could also make sure the remote is functioning properly by looking at the transmitter with the camera on your phone. You will see the IR light flashing through the camera which means it is transmitting the signal. Assuming that all checks out it is probably a damaged...

  • EOH Brakes on New Trailer not Working With 2016 GMC 3500 With OEM Brake Controller
  • Since you have already tested the trailer brakes with a few different trucks by different manufacturers (2 of which have been used with an Electric Over Hydraulic (EOH) system), the problem should be with your trailer. The reason that they most likely recommended checking your trucks is that we have seen issues with OEM brake controllers from manufacturers working with EOH systems. What you will first want to check is the connectors on both your 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 and your trailer. It...

  • Solution for Pin Box That is Making Contact With Bed Rails on 2015 GMC Sierra 3500
  • There is a solution for you, though it will not be possible to raise your Curt Q20 # C16130 any more or extend your king pin. Instead, the best solution for you is to raise your trailer with an over/under conversion kit. What this does is moves your trailer's leaf springs to the top of your axle and lifts your trailer approximately the same amount as your axle's diameter plus the height of the leaf spring pack (please keep in mind this conversion kit is for use with double-eye springs...

  • Is Adapter Module Required to Use 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 OEM Controller with BrakeRite Actuator
  • From what we know the newer GM trucks, like your 2022 GMC Sierra 3500, shouldn't need the Adapter Module # DX35FR to work with the Dexter BrakeRite system, but I would be lying if I said this kind of thing hasn't popped up in the past. Where the manufacturer says the OEM controllers will work just fine but then they find some kind of exception. Since you have a brand new truck I would hope that the brake controller isn't already posing a problem but one thing you might try doing is towing...

  • Will Curt X5 Fifth Wheel Adapter Fit Over Spray In Bed Liner
  • Curt states that bed liners can affect the fit of the X5 # 16310. Basically if the Curt X5 can be pinned in like normal then it can be used with a bed liner. Because every truck and bed liner combination is going to be slightly different there is no set list of vehicles and liner combinations available to determine if it will fit or not. The pin hole center for the X5 is approximately 2 inches from the bottom of the unit. If you can measure from the surface of your bed liner down to the...

  • Furrion Vision S Not Pairing With 2021 GMC Sierra 3500
  • So while we don't have a good solution at this point, we can however offer a fix by using load resistors which allow the camera to function properly. You could use Load Resistor Kit for LED Turn Signals - 50 Watts - 6 Ohm - Qty 2 # DI34ZR to allow your camera to function properly. Furrion and our team have been in communication and Furrion has ensured us they are actively working on a solution to resolve this issue.
